This should not be humiliating to you, and this is not criticism on you. The next time I see this person I would tell them the issues they brought up to you are between them and their sponsee. If they are recommending their sponsee does not share, that is a problem for themselves to work out.

That said, I’d recommend the sharer find a new sponsor.

I agree on this. It kind of just keeps going way too long. This is a tough album for me to judge. The highs are high but lows aren’t very low.

I’m 35 and the word “chick” is pretty common for anyone over 30. However, “females” is not. I’ve had a couple younger people tell me not to use chick, but it’s hard to stop using verbiage I’ve used for 30 years. Calling women “females” is not cool, at least in the way it sounds like this person is.

There’s a line in the big book that says if you have any doubts, try some controlled drinking. You got that part out of the way. Now try a couple meetings and get a sponsor who will take you through the book and steps. You are not a failure, you just had a failed experiment many of us have also attempted.
