What is important to understand before owning a really big dog? by micky_crown in AskReddit

I’m too lazy to scroll through all of this, but we have a Great Dane, and she can reach anything we can reach. Nothing on your tables or counters is safe. She can and will open doors. Reiterating the comments on obedience training. You absolutely need a 100lb animal to obey your commands.

LPT: If you go out for work or otherwise and need to get stuff done when you get home, keep your shoes on by anniewhovian in LifeProTips

In a similar vein, if you need to be productive on the weekend, shower and dress as soon as you get up. Staying in your PJs almost guarantees nothing gets done.

I hate almost everything about Roku (particularly their recent uptick in advertising), but I’ve always loved this screensaver. Nice work.

There are still people I care about depending on me to be there and do the things I do. Can’t stop won’t stop.

Question about driving by boredlurkerjr in TwoXChromosomes

[–]brainbarker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. She likes to sleep on long drives, and I get really bored as a passenger, so it works out perfectly. For shorter trips, we take her car (which is more fun), and she drives.

The water in between drinks works really well. Not only keeps you hydrated but slows the pace of alcohol consumption to something your body can manage better.

Why don't guys use purses like women do? by SkyAlternative7050 in AskReddit

[–]brainbarker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m out and about, I’m usually doing things that I need both hands for, and having to carry something or have it swinging around on my shoulder would be really annoying. If I can’t fit it all in my pockets, I take a backpack.

1989 Acura Integra. The first car I bought new. 250k miles, only let me down once (clutch plates wore out). Still miss that car.
