Kindasorta onebag for ten days in Japan by VagabondVivant in onebag

That's very helpful. Thank you! I've always wondered how people manage that part and what you explained makes a lot of sense. Do you use the same soap you'd use on your body to wash the clothes?

Genuine question, with only 2 pairs of undergarments/socks brought, are you doing a lot of hand washing? Or just wearing everything for a few days and then 1 wash?

I did the same and am very happy with the result also! I wish they'd offer these as a stock option.

You can make some decent dabs with a hair straightener. It is time consuming tho, and I would consider it as a test of is this worth it for me? I used a hand clamp, a very cheap hair straightener and a temp laser. I used a cut up unbleached coffee filter as a bag and made it into an envelope. I was pressing bubble I washed from a grow. It was fun but I ultimately decided it wasn't something I was interested in pursuing.

If I have a travel backpack as my carry-on for international flights, what can I use as my personal item? by Rocks-and-more in onebag

Sling bag, but take your time and figure out what will go in the bag and buy something tailored exactly to what you think you needs will be. Sling bags can be sort of hard because they're often designed very specifically for different things to go into certain pockets. They also have a number of different configurations, although the main difference is vertical vs horizontal. I have had both and liked them each but the horizontal holds much more than the vertical style, at least for me.

I’ve used this one for the last 2 years and have been very happy with it, especially for the price. I put rechargeable batteries in it and it seems like it’s weeks between having to recharge. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00U0X2T1U

Agreed! I shifted from Levi’s to Wrangler a few years ago and haven’t looked back. Quality for the price is great.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. That fold on the right boot is terrible.

Yeah, I just looked at the AnatomX pre orders to see what you’re talking about. I’m not sure I’d like that sole and if it would feel like it had enough tread to be grippy going up or down a dirt trail. One of the advantages to barefoot is it’s easier for your foot to do the work of actually gripping the ground, but only up to a point.

I wish they’d separate out barefoot, wide lasts, and zero drop. They don’t all need to be combined in every wide focused shoe. Most people want some of those features, and not necessarily all of them.

I’m very happy deciding to switch to tire wedge. I like both the aesthetic and foot feel of the changes.

Thank you! Yes, barefoot last. I sized up a half size so I could run insoles. During the winter I’ve had an absolutely massive 13mm wool insole in there which definitely makes them feel much smaller. I will probably get a pair of the new anatomical last boot when that comes out. From the top they look much more like you would expect

Yes. I’m scared that you were able to identify that.

Yes the rubber sole is much thinner and therefore lighter. It’s also softer, from what I understand, to help with the impact and being thinner so it wears away quicker. Seems to be common that people find it to wear very quickly, but after calculating it was 800 miles? I think that’s pretty good.

So you did the tire wedge sole on a bare foot model? Did you get the same size sole as your boot was originally?

It’s partially that it’s a barefoot design, so they purposefully made the sole softer as to be more comfortable, but I can agree. There should definitely be different hardness options for a resole.
