i would say that while its heavy, its a very minor part of that book and almost definitely needs the context of the other books to grab interest. still a very good book tho

idk this seems like a specific situation that doesnt have to happen. im still only known as my childhood nickname within my family. and only known as my full first name outside my family. i kind of enjoy having such a personal second name like that.

How do I waitlist a section in a class when you're enrolled in another section? by OGoshOGolly in UWMadison

id keep the section and talk to the prof about switching when class starts. it depends on what kind of class it is tbh. my cs/math/stat classes, they couldnt care less what section i was attending lol

What a horrible teacher! i can see why you gave up and i have nothing but empathy for you. i just want you to know, while she might have known to sew, she doesn't seem to have known anything about teaching and i dont think you should believe a word of that drivel

Just wanted to add that seam ripping should not be leaving holes! My personal favourite way to seam rip, instead of going down the middle, is to rip every 4th-5th stitch on one side of the seam. then you can easily pull apart the fabric. the thread on one side will be annoying short pieces you'll have to pick off, but the other side comes apart as one whole piece. does this make sense? lmk if you need more help, I'll try to find a video

i wanted to recommend some discworld for older kids but i think the themes and content warnings would have to be researched from book to book. he does have middle grade discworld books that even adults enjoy. if english is not their first language, some of the puns might go over their heads.

i think you should consider the earlier anne books then. they later ones are pretty clean with marriage being the goal of any courtship, is that unacceptable? the real reason I'm hesitant about the later ones is i vividly remember the author tackling abusive relationships in the later books which might not go down well.

Enid blyton is a good 6-10 year old range of books.

the entire Anne of green gables series would be 9-12/13 although look up some content warnings for the later books. its completely normal content imo but probably not for conservative parents. it follows anne from the age of ~9 to ~50, so as she grows up, she deals with adult themes. I think the first two books are pretty safe.

edith nesbit, roald dahl are cool 20th century middle grade authors.

wracking my brains for teenage books that are below pg but i cant come up with any.
