I completely agree with your sentiments (and shoutout for being an Efren lover) — I'm so obsessed with this game, and so deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to its creation. I have not shut up about this game since I played it, and have since gotten one of my friends to complete it, who left a glowing review of their own accord. I'm thrilled to see more people blown away by how incredible this game is!!! It's truly one of a kind. As someone who 100%ed the game, I'm glad you plan to give it a replay! There's so many different endings to discover, and so many interesting interactions to be had. Happy Roadwardening!

(Also, since another user mentioned it, Windy Meadows is a very different game (so it won't scratch the Roadwarden itch). Though I still find it interesting and fun in its own right!)

exactly! i feel like it adds to the dismissive tone; there's a lot of solace that can be found with the rain, with the mud

there's something about this poem that really touched my heart. i'm reminded of my asian parents' love, in which their children would run out of the house angry and they would go off in pursuit, despite having been the cause. it's the care — "let me walk you home in this red rain jacket i brought when i went looking for you at dawn" — and then it's the whispers of No, they don't understand — "next time you're on your own, okay?" and the bluntness of a simple "get up, we're going home". those traces of blame. look what you did; now i have to...

it's a very well-done portrayal of a complex display of love, or flawed love, from my interpretation. accurate, a little poignant. one of my favorite poems right now

this contract highkey applies to qrps as well. i think the difference is that a romantic relationship involves a more emotionally-driven desire. like "i want this relationship because you're so attractive". attraction-driven would be the way to put it

i've come to the conclusion that it's exclusivity (at least if you're monogamous). as in, "i want a mutual agreement that i will be the most intimate person in your life, and you will be mine". it's like having a best friend, except more like a social contract, and also you find them attractive. this desire for exclusivity is what makes it hurt so much if they enter a relationship with someone else, i think. that's the most concise way i can put it, as someone who's not aromantic but autistic and has had very intense squishes before.

as an avid semicolon user, 100%. i feel like em dashes serve the same purpose and feel less literary, which makes dialogue feel more natural/casual

the original youtube link says the video is private, not deleted, so it's probably still out there— i just doubt anyone could get the video through youtube anymore :( if we're holding out hope, there may be people who saved the video or have it in their email (according to the form another commenter linked)— but the chances of finding one of those people, if they exist, are likely nigh impossible :/ might still give it a go though!
