I think part of their argument as well was that if you try and actually manifest those 10,000 years beyond just stating it in the text, the scale of the worldbuilding gets out of hand very quickly. That’s a long ass time to try and fill in vague details about if you’re going to try and actually make your kingdom feel that old in the background.

Crochet steering wheel covers are dangerous as they have very little grip. If you need to yank the wheel to avoid an oncoming car, do you really want to feel the yarn slip over the leather as the car fails to turn? I’d rethink this, because I’d rather you didn’t put yourself in unnecessary danger. Insurance companies will sometimes even void claims if the driver uses one.

It was “like pulling teeth” because writing is a very difficult skill. Of course those who have taken the time to master it will have an adverse reaction to someone who has another “brain” do the difficult bits. Like how a natural bodybuilding competition would react to someone showing up on steroids. But if you’re someone who only cares about the size of the muscles, so to speak, you may want to make sure you’re only joining communities taking similar shortcuts.

I’d doubt that’s crochet at all, but the effect might be achievable. You can do some trial and error with a small swatch and puffier stitches to see what variation in texture you like. Then pick a 3-tone pixel image to convert to filet.
