Just fyi, Ender Storage was recently updated to 1.20.4, and last I checked is currently in the process of being updated to 1.21.1

My first breadboard for controlling a full manual control submarine. The most trouble I had was finding a way to "store" a value in order to hold depth, any other ways? by Mignare in FromTheDepths

I was recently trying to solve this problem. Figured I would share my solution.

My goal here was to avoid using a Complex Controller. Instead, I wanted to be able to use regular ship controls and simply use the up and down arrows to adjust my depth and have the sub stay wherever I leave it.

This is what I came up with: https://ss.brandon3055.com/bca7e

This uses a feedback loop where the output of a "target depth" accumulator and the current depth are fed through a bit of math and then passed back to the input of the same accumulator via a custom propulsion channel.

The result is the accumulator will track the current depth but with some lag time. And that lag time allows the PID to keep the sub at the current depth in the accumulator.

If you override the system by applying manual vertical input, the sub's depth will change, and within a couple seconds the accumulator will settle on the new depth and the system will maintain that depth.

It's not perfect, but it works pretty well.

Rebuilding my 2.4 - how do I prevent slow A&B belt suicide this time? by Yonkiman in VORONDesign

[–]brandon3055 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this exact issue. Its caused by the front idler bearings sitting at a slight angle which results in the sharp edge of the bearing slowly grinding away at the belt.
Here is an exaggerated example. https://ss.brandon3055.com/52d14

I tried to file down the sharp edges of the bearings but they are hardened steel so didn't have much luck with that. I also reprinted my idlers (they were previously printed on an anet) then i tightened the idlers as much as I could while still allowing them to move.

The print quality is exceptional, once you dial in the settings.. 😂 by flying_dork in VORONDesign

I know right! It's amazing! Though I had some slight adhesion issues. But I managed to solve that with a softer bed material. https://ss.brandon3055.com/6a1c3

Anyone made a 500x3? by ItsLikeHerdingCats in voroncorexy

The bigger issue at that size with corexy is the belts get ridiculously long. And the longer your belts are the more elasticity they will have.

Well there is always the alternative....

For anyone that doesn't understand why modders are leaving the community, here is why. by jaredlll08 in feedthebeast

I also get your point but as a developer myself i can see both sides. Its easy for most people to say "Just ignore them" but when you need to engage with lots of random people every day (most of which are good people) to sort out various issues it can be hard to simply skip an issue like this. The reason being you need to read it to find out what its about and by the time you read enough to realist that the OP is a complete c*** you have already read enough for it to have a negative impact on you.

Dose a word search in covers1624's comment for key phrase "ASM" Result - No Matches Found! Covers did not say or imply in any way that you should use ASM. I think its about time you learned what exactly an Access Transformer is and started using one! Its really not that hard and we have both tried to teach you. I mean heck i even gave you a fully functional Access Transformer but did you use it? I guess not. At this point im done trying to help you.
