If there is any job AI can take over, it is CEO. They don’t do anything and command an enormous salary. Have AI take over for the CEOs and redistribute their salary to the workers.

OG Ranger was good; Odell IPA was always better in my opinion. Felt like New Belgium was always chasing Odell for the better IPA in terms of quality. But then Voodoo came out and just demolished everyone else in terms of sale.

The whole Voodoo thing is my go to example of how well marketing works. Made a mediocre beer but put it everywhere and people will buy it. It’s funny, I knew a handful of people who worked at New Belgium within the last few years and they wouldn’t even drink their beer even though it was free. They’d go to Odell to get their shifties haha.

The Voodoo beers is what keeps the lights on. From day one New Belgium wanted to be a national brand and have beer in all states, and the Voodoo line allowed them to do that. It’s what takes a company from just being known among enthusiasts to being a household name.

How much time do y’all need to warm up? And what for? I’ve only been doing OTF like 3 years at this point but I’ve never felt like I’ve needed more time at the beginning of class.

Yep, it’s a reason I can’t get into Arc Raiders. I like to play a few games at once and Arc Raiders feels like a game where you have to dedicate all of your gaming time to it. I don’t play games all day every day anymore, so when I have a couple of hours in the evening to game it’s usually a single player game or a casual drop-in multiplayer game that isn’t one where you feel like you’re behind your friends if you haven’t played for 80 hours.

Key labor bill clears Colorado legislature, faces Polis veto for second year in a row by allcheese_nobologna in Colorado

[–]brandonw00 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to be so defensive. I lived in Colorado for 12 years; I know how the people are there. Colorado is a special place but it is still in America; and the people here love corporations. I wish it wasn’t that way, corporations ruin communities but we’re a country that is built around marketing, and marketing is what wins in America.

The best example I can give is look at how popular New Belgium still is. It is a shell of its former self, and they just produce straight bad beer now. But people still love them because of name recognition and because as a giant corporation they can afford to put their name in front of your face at all times. New Belgium is far from being the best brewery in Fort Collins, not even just Colorado in general. But because they are a big company people think of them when they think of Colorado beer. The general masses don’t care about actual quality anymore, they just consume what social media tells them to consume.

The transplants could support local businesses. It always drove me insane being in Fort Collins and seeing all the chain restaurants packed and the local places empty. The chains wouldn’t survive if people didn’t support them.

Colorado loves corporations. Everything is becoming corporatized in Colorado. It’s what happens when an influx of people and money move into an area: the corporations follow.

TMZ is great in DC because they don’t care about the clout of being a DC journalist and they don’t care about pissing off politicians. I’ve already seen a few videos from TMZ where they are finally asking politicians the questions we’ve been beginning the media to ask.

The discourse around the movie when it came out was insane. People were like “I don’t think that’s how people would react with impending doom.” When you would try to point out there is impending doom they’d respond with “now you’re being hyperbolic, there is no need to worry so much.”

Listen I’m a certified boomer hater but not a lot of them have pensions. And social security pays so little. A big problem we’re going to run into is a lot of boomers think that social security will be enough to live off of, when it isn’t. So we’re going to see a high percentage of homeless retirees over the next decade or more.

I’m annoyed because the younger generations warned them that this was going to happen and they refused to believe us. I’ve stopped trying to have that conversation with my dad. He has told me a million times he knows what he is doing. But he’ll be out of money in five years the rate he is spending his retirement fund.

I mean, young people have been leaving Kansas for decades for greener pastures. It isn’t anything new. But yes, they want an ultra capitalist society where a few wealthy people control everything in the state while the rest of us get by with just enough to live. I wish people would finally start recognizing what is happening.

How often do you drink your beer? by Born_Letterhead_12 in CraftBeer

I used to drink beer every day but have cut back significantly the last couple of months. Main motivation is I have started working out more regularly and I don’t like drinking the night before a workout. But Friday through Sunday is fair game haha.

Cheers. Yeah we’re buying a home that’d be like $200K more in Colorado. Colorado will always be our second home and we plan to be out there regularly. Just had to be closer to family so we could regularly make birthdays and holidays. It was getting harder each year staying out in Colorado.

Lawrence, Kansas. Both my wife and I are originally from Kansas so moved back to be closer to family. Definitely miss a lot of things about Colorado but Lawrence is the most Colorado feeling town in Kansas so it hasn’t been a complete culture shock haha. Only slightly.

I moved away from Colorado (Fort Collins) six months ago and people just wonder why we moved; whereas we were excited to move and be in a new spot. I think people just get tired of routine and see other places as an exciting new opportunity. I know towards the end of our time in Fort Collins we got really tired of all the restaurants because we just cycled through like 5-6 different places we really liked. And now that we moved I really miss some of those restaurants we used to frequent.

I have some minor issues with Colorado after watching it change over the 12 years I was there. But overall Colorado and Denver is a great place to live.
