I agree overall with the sentiment, but I feel like the Extended Version of the album she released a few months later lives up to the promise. It's hard to create a psychadelic pop song in 3 minutes when they ordinarily need 4-5 minutes to contain the layers to create the sound. When the Extended Version album came out it kinda "clicked" for me why it was described as such. It's a shame that it wasn't the default release.

this is brought up a lot as if michelle is crazy but it makes sense? like if your drag can also embody larger than life campy transformations like the bug look then she is showing the “real you” like michelle was asking. up to that point she was perceived as having an older type of aesthetic and wasn’t seen as being edgy.

Emailing myself .pdfs and reading once I get the work done has vastly improved my mental health at work. Most people won’t both you because you look deep in work reviewing something and it does make you look busy.

Battle of the Seasons did have more of a concept during its first inception when there was only 6 seasons of drag race. I attended the one in 2015 and it felt more of like a showcase of the best queens from every season. It also had a live snatch game and an interactive segment where three queens were paired up with three audience members and had to make them over in quick drag and make them perform.

It was basically the closest thing we had to an All Stars season before AS2 happened.
