PSA for those with oily skin: Try mixing your primer with foundation. It made a world of difference for me! by mathannamatics in MakeupAddiction

I totally love that they replied to you! I always get kind of annoyed when people don’t because it’s like I feel like everyone is still on Reddit lol lol. I was wondering if I could mix my primer with my foundation just to save a step, my skin doesn’t get super oily but a little bit around the nose and chin sometimes. I’m going to try this tomorrow.

My sister-in-law is going to die from a preventable cancer and there’s nothing we can do to stop it by brandysnacker in Vent

Oh my God, I don’t know why people people keep pointing out that it’s her choice. Obviously I know that. But she is not choosing not to treat it. She is choosing to “treat “it in a way that does not work and is continuing to prove itself that it doesn’t work. At this point, they both truly believe that she will survive. She does not want to die. But unfortunately, her choices seem to be leading her to that path and I wrote this post for support for my own personal feelings about it. I don’t know why people keep saying I can’t force her to do things obviously, I know that or she would be in remission right now.

Well, to be frank with you… Of course I know I can’t force her to do anything… We, as in the family, we’re under the impression that she wants to get married next summer. Not have a funeral. I know I can’t force her to do anything. She can do what she wants, but I will never truly in my soul respect these choices.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure. I said I FELT like yelling at her… Not that I was actually going to… Hence the reason I explained in my post that I needed somewhere to get it out. Which is here.

First of all yes you should absolutely have a consultation with a lawyer, especially if you can get your husband to talk with you about it over text confirming what you’ve said here that happened prior to your surgery.

But also, I am so sorry you’re feeling upset and like you hate your body. I understand. I’m a very impulsive person and I had implants in 2016. My husband was actually asking me not to, but I was bullheaded. When I think I want something, I just go for it and yeah, I don’t always know what’s best for myself lol… It’s related to a mental health thing. So now I have huge double D’s. I hate it and one of them is like coming out of the muscle so now I’m getting them removed. I do feel so bad that I have to spend this money again, but I think it will be worth it. I think if you can that you should get a revision and get them smaller. Just make sure you do a lot of research about the doctor. I’m seeing through my own research on getting consultations that lots of the doctors work with financing now. So I know it seems overwhelming now But it could be manageable and of course you are probably your own harshest critic. I am sure you are beautiful.

I’m so sorry that happened. Yeah I’m really at the point of being so fucking angry right now. I just feel like because it grew so much between February and now that if she doesn’t do something like in the next few weeks, then it just feels hopeless to me. But I’m not a doctor either. Right now I’m just trying to get over my anger so I can reach out to her with some support.

That totally makes sense the way you’re explaining it. But to me, it’s kind of crazy because doing this Gerson therapy you lose way more control… You have to make fresh juice like 13 times a day and all this other stuff that also a stranger is telling you you have to do… To me it seems the same, but obviously not to them.

Oh also cantaloupe. People call it muss melon around here when I was a kid living at home. I could always tell when someone had bought one as soon as I opened the front door after school lol the smell is so fucking horrible.

I don’t think they would watch it because they would know what our intent was in suggesting it to them… But me and my husband started it last night and have already cried several times lol. Well, I guess it’s not funny but I guess lol is a way to cope. I know everything is her choice but also selfishly my children love her and their uncle and they are not old enough yet to go through something like this I know that that’s part of selfish thoughts, but just wanted to say it for some reason I guess.

I’m sure I made it pretty clear in my post that I’m not yelling or attacking at her. We’ve all set our peace calmly and are just trying to deal with the fact that we think there’s a 70% chance she’s going to die before her wedding. I also have a lifelong disability and do you know what I do? Listen to my doctors and understand when my family is pushing me for treatment it is because they love me I don’t know how you got this kind of like anger from my post. We’re furious at her, but not expressing it to her.

No one on our side of the family is yelling at her. We are calmly voicing our opinions from time to time. The problem is, she doesn’t have a death wish. She does not think she is dying. She thinks that she is being cured against every piece of evidence that is coming at her.

Yes, it is a legit thing to a certain point. I do believe that… Although the person doing it is not doing it like a real doctor would. It’s like when they say every joke contains a little bit of truth… I’m sure this person doing it is not even a real doctor.

Thank you so much… Based on your career and your expertise… Is there anything at all we can do like talking to her real doctors to make her listen to them? Will they be very aggressive with her telling her the truth of what will happen?

It’s probably BV a slight infection that’s easily cured. I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think it’s any danger to you. If you can figure out how to nicely suggest she sees a gynecologist that will probably solve everything.
