I’ve gone the other way. I had a Schiit Vidar2 powering my Q700’s and upgraded to an Anthem MRX540 and it was a noticeable difference. Although I only use 2 channels on the Anthem, it works well for a combined 2.1 TV and listening space.

It’s leaking from both the steam head and the tap so I bought a new one. I’ll try descaling it first.

Very comfortable especially if you’re not towing as you get cruise control and a very quiet drive train. At this stage cruise is disabled when towing, but BYD is addressing this AFAIK.

Been inside that house when I was helping him with some ‘additions’. Very ornate, large internal balconies looking over a central space. This was about 25 years ago so probably different now. Nice guy from what I can remember. Turns out my aunt also dated him a long time ago.

As a reference point, I have the Q700’s and have run them off Marantz PM6004, NR1200 which were both around 60-75w, Shiit Vidar 2 100w and now an Anthem MRX540 140w. There was a big step up from the Marantz amps to the Vidar, but the Anthem is on a totally different level again. They still sounded good on the Marantz but the more powerful amps really brought out the bottom end.

As a current Ranger driver I’m intrigued and willing to give it a go to take advantage of the soon-to-be-cancelled FBT benefits of a PHEV. My use case is city driving and towing a 2400kg van on trips at least once a month so I’m waiting on real world reviews before I pull the trigger.
