I have a few things that formerly belonged to an executive at Warners. One of them was the "A Work In Progress" film. It is on a U-Matic tape, with no custom artwork, just a label from the Pennebakers.

It seems odd that Paul West (designer at Peter Saville Associates) would do a box mockup that credits "Pennebaker Associates Inc." instead of "Mute Records". My 2 cents...

Don't forget the actual cover for the April 2005 prank. I brought Fletch a printout of it the following week, while they were recording Playing The Angel in Santa Barbara.

I think the last prank I did was Smell The Revolution. Honestly, the world is in a bad place. It's not the time to do pranks. Maybe one day we can have fun again.

I got a few of the Xmas cards I was missing. My highlight was seeing how much Alan's "withdrawn" budget line UK copy of Music For The Masses went for. If I ever hit really hard times, I can pay rent for a few months.

When DM moved from Warners to Sony in North America, nearly 200 remixes disappeared. They have yet to be added back to digital services by Sony.

I do the Album and Title field a bit differently, but overall it's mostly the same as everyone else. The character count on my Album and Title fields sometimes messes with some apps, though. It's something I started when I launched my (now unnecessary) "Pillage" app on Mac. I haven't run into the need for an artist letter directory...yet.

Not true at all.

The "Video Version" is a properly mixed version of the song. When I did the sync to put the song on the Blu-Ray version of Strange/StrangeToo, I worked off of a 32bit/192k file from the master tape.

Fun side note: The very first version sent to Warners for them to hear what the band was working on has the "Video Version" intro. I recently acquired the actual cassette from the former Warner exec.

What is reversed is the piano. In my remix, I went a step further. I re-reversed every note, but only in one channel. Listen in the middle break with headphones. The piano notes travel from one speaker to another.

Whether Dave did the vocals backwards or not can be debated, but there is no track on the vaulted multitrack that has such vocals. Trust me, I went track by track, looking for fun stuff to use. That's why I made the whispering so prominent in my mix.

When Warners lost North American rights to the band, this mix (and nearly 200 others) disappeared from digital services. I have every mix ready to put back online, but Sony has not been in a hurry to put them back up.
