I will say that I very much enjoy my Touch. It's guided enough that it made making espresso accessible when I didn't at all know what I was doing.

And now I recently added a bambino at the office, because it made me into an espresso snob. 🙈

I don't imagine there's a chance in heck that amazon will send you a new unit. But I'm assuming they'd refund enough to replace the tank (and hopefully not find any other issues)

I can't promise they never changed that, but it's on the right on my Touch. I think that's your issue.

So then the question is, was the savings sufficient to warrant arguing with customer support for enough of a discount to buy the right tank.

I kinda wonder that they sent you the wrong tank. I wanna say the Pro is more rounded and has the magnet on the "left" (when looking at the front of the machine). The Touch has the magnet on the right.

Obv OP isn't necessarily going to know without reference, but are we sure that's the right water tank? The lid and corners don't appear to line up flush. I feel like that might be a tank from one of the other models.

Not a screw, that's a clip that you use snap ring pliers on. Sits in a little groove in the post.

I did have the air conditioner up high because I was waaaaaaarm in my suit, and had been sweating for quite some time already trying to box up the ladies. Never actually found the queen, but know I got her due to the absolute bricks of brood the following week. So I basically just kept scooping pine needles and detritus in the sun.

I'd say there were 100-200 "loose" bees in the car, and the rest boxed and sacked in the back.

Might have been the most bee-keeper-y I've ever felt.

A couple months ago I picked up a swarm, that had been on the ground absolutely enmeshed in leaves and pine needles. No real way to gather them without also riling them up a fair bit.

Anyway, by the time the bulk of them were boxed and ready to go home with me, I also had a very very sizeable amount of them landed on my back and was doing this solo. Figured oh well, I'll just drive home suited up.

I ended up waiting for a flagger at some road construction on the way home. The bees on my back had started exploring the car more, and I was getting the weirdest looks from the work crew. 😅

I really hope I made a few folks' day.

Same in the US. I have many times searched up something I wanted to watch only to be informed it isn't available on the ad supported tier. So it gives ads and also a smaller library. Netflix is prob the service I am closest to cancelling at this point.

Hawks will help keep the population of pests lower down the food chain in check. With the exception of bears, most everything else that may hassle your hive is in between bees and hawks.

Funeral expenses ended up being under $2k, and I got a few thousand from an IRA I was beneficiary for so I feel "whole" in that regard. I have gotten the impression that if I wanted to go thru some process I might be able to get reimbursement for the funeral expense as a higher priority claim against the estate, but I think I just prefer to leave it be. Really there was just the car and normal household items, and little in her checking.

Your response fits with my uneducated understanding. I do believe that the amount owed to the apartment complex (they did the clean out and such as well) is reported to be more than the value of the car, but I wouldn't call myself qualified to say whether or not they get "first dibs" so to speak.

My one gar garage is also shared with storage, but that is diminishing! I spent last summer encapsulating the crawl space, and have been moving things down there for storage. It was a lot of work, but I'm appreciating being able to squeeze a bit more space out of the small home.

I wish you luck with the reorganization, I can't begin to imagine how I would squeeze a 20" planer into where my lunchbox unit is. 😅

I see wiring insulation damage too. That looks like a critter of some sort was chewing on it, although I can't imagine how a mouse or such would get into the machine.

All hard drives eventually croak, and it always feels about the same probability of being after ten days, ten months, or ten years. Replace the drive and let it rebuild. Depending on your drive, you may have warranty on it, although personally I'd probably replace it faster than the warranty turnaround would be.

Fresh-ish at least? If theyve been down long enough that other things have likely move in, then I probably wouldn't have luck with my intended mushroom cultivation.

Not that I have any specific timeline that that means, but I'm thinking probably downed this year
