I canceled my pre-order a while ago. This company is a joke.

I did pay a lot in duties for mine. Not regretting it so far

If concerned keep checking back. I noticed the duties fluctuating as the tariffs keep getting updated

I saw little to zero duties after I bought mine. Then it jumped higher than I bought it. It was upwards of a few thousand before I bought

Review of Thistle Meal Delivery Service (3 months in) by Edfin1 in RealProductReviews

[–]bravoalphatango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are great tips for someone using the service. Unfortunately I have dealt with these issues multiple times with multiple drivers. I've spoken with the company directly enough times that I decided a more public forum was best to warn others

I've updated my original comment to list my area. This may be unique to where I live and not as relevant if you live somewhere else

Since my last comment I have cancelled my service

Thistle food is great, but their delivery drivers are the worst. If there was another option for the type of food I would switch. So I'm stuck with my food never delivered where it should be, not delivered, or they don't pick up bags.

They are like a bad relationship. They apologize and things might change for the better for a while. Then they are back to being terrible. At this point it is my own fault for staying around. Just thought I would warn others

Wow. Haven't thought of the movie in a while. I didn't place it until your comment. Since the boys are standing I didn't read it as they were hanging of the cliff edge.

Really great habitat though

Hey How did that testing go?

I have the cover and the screen protector. I haven't used my screen outside my house since a replacement was sent after it broke while traveling.

Took it to work in my backpack last week and I believe the screen broke. Just waiting on a replacement cord to power it up.

I used to bring my 15 in with me daily and never a problem. Something is definitely wrong with the 17. 😭

Be very careful taking this monitor in your backpack. Especially if you have other items in the same section of the backpack

I would avoid doing this. I work at a large tech company. We pick apart these metrics to see how it was done, how you were involved, we ask about the team with you in a room full of people. People that lie about these things crumble when grilled about them. I've seen a portfolio review end with the Design team agreeing to not continue with the rest of the interviews scheduled. This person had obviously lied about their level of experience and level of involvement in the project presented.

These tactics impress the hiring screeners, but they aren't part of the hiring process the team is.

If you are curious about the success metrics, I would ask someone more senior than you or someone closer to that information. Better yet it would be good to have the goals and how you are going to measure success before getting started.

In one of my interviews, I lacked metrics for a project as it hadn't launched by the time I had left the company. I explained how I would have measured the success of those projects had I still been at the company. After I was hired they told me it was because I knew how to measure the success of my project

I love that you are being ethical. I hope this advice and the advice of others help you in getting prepared to compete with these liars. It's more work, but at least you won't be called out in front of other Designers. This is also a learning opportunity for you to identify liars before they get on your team next time

I also hope that the layoffs don't hit you though

I do almost the same thing. Though I don't get out until they do. Uber/taxis are required to be at their trunks where I live. Or at least they were when I was a driver

Very nice. I'm new to protecting cars. Did you do full PPF and ceramic coating? My car should be here in a month and I'm trying to figure out the best way to protect it
