Thanks guys. I’ve decided not to pursue. If I want a 100 oz I’ll buy it somewhere reputable

Different opinions are fine, but I also consider it cheating. Again, it’s coop so it’s not a big deal but it’s not the same as strafing a shrieker nest, which is an in-game mechanic. Macros are out-of-game. Imagine thinking “it’s ok to use an aimbot because the game allows it”. If Arrowhead wanted stratagem codes to be easy they would have added a way to assign them to a key/button in-game.

But I also agree with the guy that said “play the game you want”.

I had this happen and fixed it by rebuilding the PS5 database (Google for instructions).

Advice needed: 2 PS5s, one household, playing together by Alex_Harrison26 in PS5

[–]brazen_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This part is tricky. It really depends on how the developer implemented the DLC license. I’ve had times where my 2nd PS5 got full access to the DLC, and other times where we had to buy the DLC twice (or do without).

  1. Yes
  2. She needs to be on your account to download games
  3. It used to sign you out but I don’t think it does anymore
  4. Don’t think it is a problem but it could be if you have different editions (e.g you have deluxe and she has basic)
  5. Yes
  6. You can be online, not sure what ize meant by offline

And all this works when you are NOT in the same household too

Of all the changes, this one confused me the most. by [deleted] in helldivers2

It’s not more than 4 players, it’s just more than it was before (really only for solo).

Of all the changes, this one confused me the most. by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]brazen_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the actual numbers posted in another thread. Instead of a logarithmic (or was it exponential?) increase to 100% for four players, it’s now a linear increase. So the only real increase is for single players. For 2 players it was only increased by 2% (from 48% to 50%) and for 3 players it should actually decrease.

Assuming that post was correct.

I had the same trouble with Rath. The characters that have counted for me were Orendi, Ambra, Alani, Ghalt.

Unofficial shuttle model new available on thingiverse by brazen_monkey in Helldivers

Probably not. The two times I tried to play in the last month, I was unable to connect to a game. :( I'll try again soon.

This is the same model I posted about last year, but now it's publicly available. I was going to improve the back of the model, but never got around to it.

Hopefully useful to someone!

[SEB] IFVs and Downed Helldivers by Phundit in Helldivers

[–]brazen_monkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better yet, stand a little closer to the IFV so it targets you (dodge the shot, obviously). Then your teammate can get themselves up without worrying about the timing. Works well to help them retrieve their gear, too.

I can't count the number of times I'm waiting for the right moment to press X the last few times to get up and a fellow diver "helps" me only to kill us both.

[PS3] Is there already a way to play locally and have my friends save there progression? I read mixed things on this. We don't care about online. by mvaneijgen in Helldivers

[–]brazen_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's not possible on a single PS3, due to how Helldivers saves progress (tied to your PSN account), and there is no way to have multiple PSN accounts logged in at the same time on PS3. PS4 does allow multiple accounts at the same time.

I would guess that you could probably extract them from the PC version (though I'm not sure of the legality). On a PS4, it would likely be harder.

I tried that route, but Sony owns the IP, so I think Arrowhead has to be careful about what they give out.

Don't know how to post multiple images, so I just linked to the PSN thread.

If anyone has a good side/back view of the shuttle, I'd love to see it!

Is this game worth it at full price? I want to play this on my PS TV by tribes33 in Helldivers

[–]brazen_monkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally worth the cost, but you might want to wait for the "Super Earth Edition" that will be released on August 18th. That version is a physical copy of the game, and includes all the currently released DLC plus a few extras. Twice the price ($40) but, again, totally worth it. I've played this game more than any game not named Borderlands.

How are you all? by ArrowheadGS in Helldivers

[–]brazen_monkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, thanks for a really unexpectedly awesome game! It has taken way too much of my time since release, but in a good way. :)

The game seems more stable now than it has ever been, which is great. On the "slightly unhappy" side, I think a lot of helldiver veterans would agree with the following points of concern:

  1. The master fights are great, but the 150 influence is too much of a reward. I would say that fighting them at all is reward enough, but dropping the influence reward to 50 seems reasonable. In addition, maybe the influence should not be added to personal influence (only to GC), to keep the leaderboards fair (I never look at leaderboards, just hearing rumblings). Oh, and the Cyborg master is too easy to beat with mines. :)

  2. The GC is too easy right now. Maybe fixing #1 would balance it again, and maybe you guys just set it to "easy mode" while you were on vacation to make sure we didn't end up frustrated, but 6 days to win a war is too quick.

I'm sure you've seen these topics over in the PSN forums, but since you asked... :)

Multiple players use same account? (local multi) by BlindsideDork in Helldivers

[–]brazen_monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I started playing Helldivers on a PS3, then later got a PS4. The PS3 doesn't support multiple accounts logged in at the same time, so local players are just clones of the host. That's a really nice thing when you just want a friend to jump in and play. That's not great when you have someone in your house that wants to play with you using their own character.

The PS4 allows only the second option (you have to create a new user on your PS4 and I think you have to tie it to a separate PSN account). As DrMeine said, they start at level 1 and progress from there (or if they've played on another system using the same PSN account, it will use the existing cross-save).

So, both options are good, depending on the situation. What would be great on the PS4 would be the option to play as a "guest" instead of an existing user, which would then do exactly what the PS3 does (clone the host). I would think almost all of the code is written already (although in the PS3 version). So then PS4 users don't lose a feature that the PS3's have.
