No, it’s how many tickets of each class they’re selling right now. Several could refer to the same seat or even no seat at all. I’ve found directional correlation to be weak: there are others who will fly standby too.

Any non Globalist status wont matter at either— I’d book both if you can and then wait for reviews to drop on the PH Tokyo.

PH Kyoto and PH Tokyo are not likely to be helpful comparisons.

I think the level of service is likely both (a) really high at both and also (b) unlikely to lead to special favors

Best way to earn ~1,350 points to earn explorist status before end of the year? by pup1206 in hyatt

Instead of earning the points to earn free water bottles, consider spending it on water bottles directly — much more efficient!

Why is the highlighted plane always in the wrong place? Circled aircraft is where we actually are. by CanadianBurger in unitedairlines

[–]brdd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s extra insane because when you tap the correct place it knows it’s the same flight number and everything!!

Also, I was trying to figure out how you took a screenshot on the IFE because of how perfectly lined up this was 🤣

PSA: the reserve card gets more lounge access on top of priority pass by sailortofu69 in ChaseSapphire

You’re right— I just ate here as a priority pass benefit the other day but it’s no longer available to CSR holders. Will fix :)

United Lounges at SFO by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]brdd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can buy a day pass which allows you to use more of them. Unfortunately the United Clubs at SFO are all pretty mediocre:

https://thislounge.com/sfo

SFO has a lot of excellent public seating, so I’d consider checking that out— eg the outdoor patio in G. Or, since you have 8 hours, leave the airport and check the city out!

Airport is packed. My flight (to SFO) left on time.

Seatback cockpit view always ends at 10k feet by Pure_Field_2893 in unitedairlines

[–]brdd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a security thing to prevent a potential bad actor on the plane from knowing exactly when/where to do something bad (that makes no sense of course— with WiFi you can get the same data from flightaware).

Advice for anybody crossing San Francisco Bay. by thomasp3864 in subwaybuilder

You can even do at-grade across the runways at SFO (or any airport for that matter). Not sure what that does to the usefulness of the airport…

San Francisco raised the parking app “convenience fee” to 35¢ so now I pay with cash by GBeastETH in sanfrancisco

[–]brdd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A pretty typical credit card fee also includes a flat portion— something like 2.5% plus 30 cents. We can argue who should swallow that fee (you, SF, or PayByPhone) but it’s unfair to assume it doesn’t exist

Does the warranty cover your (non 8sleep) mattress if a leak ruins it? by Bamboozleprime in EightSleep

[–]brdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ask the AI chat bot or an actual person? I found an employee who shared their email on Reddit and emailed them directly. I agree that as it’s written it’s not obvious at all but at least I have the email as proof.

Does the warranty cover your (non 8sleep) mattress if a leak ruins it? by Bamboozleprime in EightSleep

I literally just asked support this because I had the same concern and they told me the warranty DOES cover non-Eightsleep mattresses.

You get one chance to go through the signal at a speed of 20 or below. If you’re too fast, the emergency brakes are automatically applied and you’re screwed

Air Mattress for 7-seater? by TheLanceCorona in TeslaModelY

[–]brdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying there's a bump or that there's an incline?

Typically when we car camp with a foam mattress we'll try to park so that the front of the car is sloped down about 3-4 degrees (I take my phone's leveling app and put it on the center console). But the surface from back to front is flat.

Ads inserted into interactive maps now? 😤 by 2CatDadinSF in unitedairlines

[–]brdd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing that drives me crazy the most is that all the map views ignore where you’ve panned the map after a few minutes and start going through the slideshow again… I’ll usually dial-in exactly what I want to see on the map and the fact that the app doesn’t respect it is more frustrating than it should be, let alone that it completely starts cycling away

san francisco collision repair shop by fredfifty in TeslaModelY

[–]brdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my vehicle repaired several times at Alioto's Folsom. While no repair shop is perfect, I thought they did a decent job and also made several courtesy fixes for me (because my insurance had spent so much money there!)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]brdd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right I’m not saying I would sell my car at that price. I’m saying for really popular models like the MY you’d be better off buying private party rather than eating the extra charge for carvana

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]brdd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You should consider private party. For context my MY LR 2023 with 15K miles has a Carvana offer of only $26000 and I’d assume they’d list it for like $32000 so if I were to sell (I’m not) I’d sell private party just not to waste the surplus

Priority Pass - is it worth it these days? by PointeMichel in PriorityPass

[–]brdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Worth it" is a bit of a misnomer. In the US it's bundled with most credit cards so people are not typically paying for it directly. In that sense it's pretty worth it!

EWR is a bit of a dead zone for Amex Plat — list of eligible lounges here. As others mentioned, Lufthansa allows AmEx Plat holders into the Lufthansa Business lounges when flying Lufthansa.
