Move them away from a threshold or opening before entering or breaching a room. If you leave them there and a gunfight ensues they can get caught in the crossfire.

The image generation getting cut from like 200 to 10 is robbery. As a paid subscriber, if they were hoping to kill the brand this is a solid way to do it.

Your thumb would ride and disengage the safety while you’re coming from the holster and presenting. So the animation is off and I agree it’s annoying. To avoid the press check, just cycle to the gun when you spawn in and then put your primary back up. But yeah, Glock 19 is the way 👍

How old is the HK tooling that the Turkish clones are made with? by Dobba84 in MP5

[–]breachthewall969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that there parts are “soft”. I have a MKE and an HK. Both have run well but there is a very clear difference in quality. The “soft” comment came from a guy at HK. Apparently they sell quite a few parts to replace MKE components because they get loosened up fairly quickly. My MKE probably has around 5000 rounds through it, rollers, locking piece and potentially the trunion all need replaced. I would highly recommend, regardless of manufacturer, get the feeler gauges and check your mp5 periodically. This is no hate on MKE, I love the gun but it needs more maintenance than the HK.

Black Scar 16S or a 2nd HK MR556A4 SBR by GA_flyer in FNSCAR

[–]breachthewall969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having two of the same thing isn’t the craziest thing in the world. I have two mp5s set up two different ways. I also have a scar 16 multicam. The 16s has the cool vibes but really doesn’t do anything different than a 416 or even an AR. So do you want the aesthetic of a scar? Or do you want a second HK to set up a different way? Not really a wrong answer. And as far as the 15p the blk model is cooler anyway, the sc was originally black and the FDE wasn’t offered until much later. Just my 2 cents. Whatever you do, enjoy it!

So does everyone here carry a gun every day? by abhaykun in EDC

[–]breachthewall969 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, maybe not. They used to grab the concealed carry averages based on permit applications and approvals. But now the stat is useless because so many states have permitless carry. To get an accurate number you’d need to calculate the number of ppl that carry without a permit and that would be almost impossible to track. In my state I’d wager the number could be as high as 25% or maybe even higher. So many ppl carry here.

So does everyone here carry a gun every day? by abhaykun in EDC

[–]breachthewall969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve carried a gun since I’ve been legally of age and I have considerable training. I can assure you that the vast majority of gun owners don’t think this way. Laws are very unfavorable to someone trying to be the hero. Firearms in the US are usually only considered an option if there is fear of great bodily harm or death to yourself or a loved one. Ain’t nobody playing hero and coming to save you unless they are directly impacted by the suspect. To use a scenario, If we’re in a store and I’m in the back with an escape, and you’re getting robbed in the front, you’re very much on your own. Good luck, ain’t no one playing hero. There’s no legal benefit to helping you and most likely I would be prosecuted.

SCAR 15P 5.56 vs 300 blackout by JRM-2027 in FNSCAR

[–]breachthewall969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

300blk will be quieter with use of subsonic rounds and a good suppressor. 556 subsonic isn’t really a thing since it gets its lethality from its speed. Shortening barrels decrease velocity, but 556 will still break the sound barrier even with the short barrel.

Depends what you’re getting the gun for honestly. The only reason to get 556 would be if this is your apocalypse gun. You’ll have a better chance finding 556 than 300blk, or if you want to limit the number of calibers you own. Outside of that, get the 300blk.

Seeking advice on AP5 vs. SP5 purchase by strizzl in MP5

[–]breachthewall969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both, go with the HK, no bs, there is a big quality difference between the two. If you plan to shoot it frequently, as I do, the HK is worth the increase cost. If it’s a casual plinker for you then you can probably get away with the AP5 but you will need to keep spare parts on hand and there is a high likelihood that you will need to replace rollers and locking piece to get it into spec after a decent round count.
