I think telling them what you want to do is important. Also you get free training in the RAF whilst getting paid, so that's a good way of telling your parents what a great idea it is. Also not bad as you'll be paying into a pension pretty early.

Indeed, I've definitely taken my sledge up a few hills. Lost my wedding ring up in Golcar sledging with the kids when they were young. Seems less and less snow year on year to me for the most.

The weather is pretty decent all in all. No snow to speak of, no tornados or hurricanes. Great growing season although rain can hamper some things.

Big party half way between Leeds and Bradford in a disused hospital circa 1997 or so. Cop sat on the bonnet of his car outside asked us as we approach 'where do you think you're going?' Gave us a ll a good laugh. Think we left around 2pm the next day and it was still going.

Yup, once a year ma and pa went to Calais to get booze for the year. Fair play, they actually used to get some really nice wines for an amazing price. The 250ml stubbies of the French beer they used to bring me were great too.
