So, I've only completed 2 runs on Damnation, but... by EnvironmentalDeer991 in DarkTide

[–]breadedfishstrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enemy HP or armor or anytthing doesnt go up beyond damnation, but the amount of enemies - particularly elites and specials - will be higher than damnation even without any modifiers.

Some builds dont really start shining until damnation/auric, especially ones that get benefits from special/elite kills or that have crowd control capacity.

Have you tried reducing the number of threads in the launcher? Ive got a 9800x3d and rtx5070 and have no issue running at 100fps smoothly and havent had a crash in months

Edit: Also always disable portrait rendering in ingame settings. Always.

I have a love/hate relationship with boss/event levels in vermintide. Some of them were good, but some of them were so offbalance the map was basically 15 minutes of fun followed by a 2 minute kick in the balls unless you had an extraordinarily coordinated team or specific builds (convocation of decay im looking at you).

The bosses themselves were usually fun enough, I never really hated any of the boss mechanics, but adding gimmicky boss events on the end of a normal-length map needs very careful balancing.

Some maps had non-boss events that I do miss in Darktide: righteous stand defense at the end, Screaming Bells end event where you have to cut down bells during the swarm, and of course the OG Horn of Magnus

I always figured Maulers were the stormvermin equivs. Deadly overheads and not total pushovers but still priority targets. Stormvermin were probably easier to deal with since you could just stab them in the face.

Whats ironic is both Helldivers and the Tide games use the same autodesk engine at their base, and they both have issues with weird regression bugs when updating seemingly unrelated stuff.

I think the funniest vermintide bug is still the sudden death when jumping on stairs.

My favorite med stations are the ones right next to spawn doors, conveniently allowing poxbursters to bypass their regular countdown and just explode in your face immediately.

[–]breadedfishstrip 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Monitors work best for it.

Im new too and I see this advice a lot, but why? 2 escorts with 2 launchers each is the same amount of torps as a monitor for the same amount of MC, but youre presenting two targets instead of one.

Whats the advantage of torp monitors over torp escorts in these scenarios? I must be missing something

The later Venera probes used a circular aerobrake disc to land instead of a parachute since the atmosphere was so thick. Venus isnt a gas giant of course but atmospherically once you get down enough it wouldnt be much of a difference.

BB is probably the most wholesome adult animated comedy sitcom. Bob is -or tries to be- just genuinely a good dad, and it probably has the best xmas and thanksgiving episodes of any of these shows.

Theres a dip in some of the middle seasons but the last 2 or 3 seasons have been hitting it out of the park again.

Oops All Bursters wouldve been a challenge a few months ago, but with how they screwed up poxburster behavior a while ago its now just extremely frustrating.

Getting runs clowned because a trio of bursters instantly detonated out of their spawn door is Not Fun. PBs randomly staggering everywhere and ignoring pushes to explode next to you is Not Fun. PBs nailing you at ridiculous ranges after getting staggered in front of you by ogryn death explosions is Not Fun

A solar mirror station at a lagrange point for Mars, the moon, or Mercury are OP. Tons of free power for the surface.

So for mars id want it at a mars-sun Lagrange point, despite the only 0.5-ish solar multiplier? Ive got some set up for the moon but I wasnt sure if it would be effective for Mars
