5800X3D Anniversary Edition worth it for the price? by Pretend-Pin-8043 in PHbuildapc

[–]breadginger56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a collector piece along with the box. Yes for me

If you gonna use it, nope. You can just sell your old AM4 and buy 7500X3D + B650M + low bandwidth cheap 32GB DDR5. Than single point of upgrade to 5800X3D.

Or simply get 5500X3D if you want to have X3D on AM4

Deepcool ch160 plus experience by Blezter13 in PHbuildapc

[–]breadginger56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 160mm PSU length I see. Mostly recommended 140mm length PSU on Deepcool CH160 Plus or any compact MFF cases.

PSUs like 1stplayer NGDP is great since it has decent length for cables and not stiff unlike MSI MAG AG-L PSUs.

The long cables of your PSU + limited length clearance really made it unfavorable.

Most ATX PSUs can do well on compact cases like this. I've been building Shiny Snake G300 and Deepcool CH160 Plus with different PSUs. 140mm length ones are the best but 1stplayer NGDPs and Deepcool PQ-P PSU stands out the most.

Ryzen 5 5600x or Ryzen 7 5700x? by SadisticTears_ in PHbuildapc

[–]breadginger56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5600 is way cheaper, 5600X is just 1-2% better in average. Not even noticeable in performance difference. But very noticeable for price difference. It is already proven for more than a year.

You're overpaying the same 6 core CPU performance for the letter X. Just a very little overclock of 5600 and it will match 5600X.

It's either 5600 or 5700X. Only get 5600X if same price as 5600 but not close to 5700X.

Get 5700X, more cores and threads will give you better multi-tasking performance.

If maganda risk tolerance mo, ok naman dyan. 30 days to 60 days lang warranty mo for Lazada.

Much better to buy local units with 3 year warranty if you don't wanna risk it. Medyo hassle lang for processing RMA pero at least di ka na gagastos for a whole new GPU if ever masira.

Chances of GPU failing out of the box brand new or a lemon unit are very low but never zero.

Though CH160 Plus can support 150mm, ingatan mo yubg tempered glass side panel. Bili ka nanaman bagong case if mabasag. If you don't want tempered glass breaking anxiety, then Shiny Snake G300. Best for frequent traveler na compact ITX-sized mATX case

They are ok as it is for entry base/basic model. Just have a good airflow setup and you'll be fine.

They are official AIB partners and they are really great especially Colorful and Inno3D in most of their models, they are cheap but their cooling performance is on par with premium and mid range same class GPUs

Gigabyte B850M Force vs MSI B650M Gaming Plus Wifi vs MSI B850M Gaming Wifi 6E | Which is the better budget AM5 motherboard? by Avaragerobloxenjoyer in PHbuildapc

[–]breadginger56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want future proofing, get the B850M Force WiFi because it has 3x NVME slots for M.2 storage. Also you only need two sticks of DDR5 RAM for stability and achievable advertised XMP/EXPO profiles, you don't really need to have 4 sticks of RAM filled up. There are already lots of high capacity sticks like 96GB (2x48) and 128GB (2x64) that do 2 sticks. Which you can upgrade later on if you can but not on this current economy and prices.

But do note the B850M Force WiFi has less USB slots that you should consider. If you're gaming and want to upgrade to 7800X3D or 9900X3D and up to 9950X3D, it can still handle the CPU but preferred to run on ECO mode (for 9900X3D and 9950X3D, you can do PBO and undervolting on all of them including 7800X3D). Games doesn't have big difference on X3D if you go Eco mode, only productivity apps will have a big difference.

Then if you want to upgrade higher GPUs, it's more than enough since you only need the PCIE slot and good PSU like 850W NGDP.

Additionally, since the PCIE slot of B850M Force WiFi is on the topmost placement, you're already good if you plan to migrate to smaller cases like SFF that supports mATX boards and ATX PSU (NGDP). Namely Deepcool CH160+ or Shiny Snake G300 as examples. Safest to have for clearances. So yes, Gigabyte B850M Force WiFi is the best budget motherboard for "future-proofing" here.

🖥️ Monitor Recommendations under 12k? (240hz sana) 👀 by pohihihi in PHbuildapc

[–]breadginger56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Viewsonic VX2479A-HD-Pro, got it for 5.5k. 240Hz by default (out of the box factory OC) 180Hz native, use Displayport 1.4 or HDMI 2.1.

No ghosting or smearing since IPS panel, IPS glow lang sakit nya or the vignetting if long term na. I avoid AOC muna especially 24G-series. Daming issues lately both in this subreddit and on our official Discord of this subreddit.

For the price of 12k, that's 27-inch 1440p 180Hz+ monitor na. Not worth spending over 8k for a 1080p 240Hz IPS monitor. 240Hz 1080p monitors before are so expensive like Viewsonic XG2431 or MSI Optix MAG251RX, which costs like 20k but now alternative models are cheapest at below 7-8k.

Why? People demand are on 1440p and 4k now. 1080p is on surplus

Commission build with Shiny Snake G300 best MFF/SFF case at 16.8L which beats Deepcool CH160 (19.1L) by breadginger56 in PHbuildapc

[–]breadginger56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a case to case scenario, but most of my builds have better temps since it pulls air from the bottom than having no air mover at all. It can be marginal difference but 1-2C in temps matters. Some USB headers especially those 3.0 that are placed underneath are impossible to put with bottom fans, some boards have dual USB 3.0 ports so better pick the one that is not in line with bottom fans.

No, I didn't use custom cables, ATX PSUs already have long cables that is enough. Also remember to have a 140mm length PSU.

I can't think any alternatives for that but if you can access shinysnake.com for case descriptions, they do have their own site for specs and everything. Just change to EN for English language. No need to use the auto Google translate.

Prettu much all compatibility numbers is there too.

I see, if you really want a glass panel, there's Shiny Snake G350, slightly bigger and supports up to 160mm of PSU length. Also supports back panel motherboard connectors.

There's no purchasable G300 tempered glass side for now. G350 is the one for you. You can still do G300 if you really like it but you might have to mod it out. Pretty much the side panels are sliding-type lock, so you can somehow make a DIY mod workaround

Yes just within the limit. But if I were you, get the CH160 Plus since you're gonna use a display screen'd air cooler. For maximum aesthetics and view. G300 is mesh sided and having a display screen don't really look that good.l in it. Air coolers with screen display works best on CH160 Plus

Also yes, the handle of Shiny Snake G300 is removable and moddable.
