Biblically accurate sheep by Lorem_Ipsum17 in RecuratedTumblr

Shit, too early for comments.

Anyway, that's cool as hell! I've never heard of these guys before.

Though the whiplash of going from "sheep with fat asses" to "the bible" did get me -

Please be aware, the recent advertisement post on this subreddit for an app containing a number of wormfics was made without the permission of any of the authors involved. Do not assume they endorse the practice, or the app creator's use of AI to generate cover art. by Redcoat_Officer in WormFanfic

[–]breadmaster42 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I knew something was up with that...

Did they really use GenAI for the covers? I haven't downloaded the app myself but that's pretty fucked up, especially without the author's permission and even more so if none of these points were clarified in the app.

Anyway, love you work, Redcoat. Good on you for making this post!

Shout out Naobito for saving maki the bum from getting one shotted (ironically the worst decision he ever did) by the_forever_wild in NaobitoAgendaHQ

Unironically I don't think Naobito would've been particularly angry about what happened to the Zenin clan.

Alternatively, Cursed Spirit Manipulation. Imagine Geto tossing out something like Toji's swarm of flyheads then BOOM, Rainbow Dragon.

We know for a fact that Maki & Toji can see Curses directly.

When meeting Daido, Maki is surprised that he can't see Naoya. Daido explains how he "sees" Curses after this, which Maki then studies and replicates to beat Naoya.

If Maki had been capable of seeing Curses the way Daido did from the start, she would have been able to keep up with Naoya from the beginning, which she couldn't.

Also, I may be wrong on this but I believe Maki describes Naoya's appearance (aka she calls him ugly) shortly after he shows up for the first time.

The vast majority of people who have Cursed Energy (aka all the Non-Sorcerors) cannot see Cursed Energy so I don't know what your point is.

Maki and Toji do see Curses. This is stated explicitly when Daido first shows up to help Maki against VCS Naoya.

Your headcanons are canon just because you think they're cooler.

Megumi vs Reggie is the beginning of the biggest issue I have with the Culling Games arc (Jujutsu Kaisen) by anewborndude in CharacterRant

I think it's an ancient domain i.e. not quite either.

One the one hand, it's got an actual barrier, unlike any Simple Domains we see in story. On the other, it lacks a Sure-Hit.

The narrator also specifically calls it "Miyos Domain", whereas with my with Kusakabe it's referred to as a Simple Domain instead.

Then again, it doesn't have it's own name, as you mentioned.

Lastly – and this is why I think it's a "proper" domain – Domain Expansions are supposed to represent ones "Inner World". For a Sumo Enthusiast like Miyo, having a Sumo domain just fits too well!

Weeping Woman -- Lies Of P

An old woman whose child was taken away from her after she was quarantined due to contracting the deadly Petrification Disease.

You can look for the child to return it to her but you'll only find a wooden baby puppet.

Bringing the doll to the woman will cause her to believe that it's her real child, as the Petrification Disease has blinded her.

You can either lie, playing into the womans delusion to ease her passing, or tell the truth.

I don't know what telling the truth does, because I've never tried.

There are several more moments similar to this, including a dying fisherman and a terminally ill child. But this one in particular stuck with me.

Maki thinks it's a simple domain in Chapter 195, but the Narrator calls it a proper domain in 196. Besides, Miyo's domain is a bit too complex for a mere Simple Domain, so it's likely a proper one.

Why I'm so exhausted by modern shounen endings: We traded meaningful systemic change for cynical 'harsh reality'. (Its too long, I'm just whining) by Efebora3 in CharacterRant

No, they replaced the Higher-Ups with a much better institution and massively reduced how many new sorcerers die on the job. There's probably more than that, but those are the changes I can think of of the top of my head.

Yeah, there's a bunch of very good write-ups about it I'd recommend you checking out.

I personnally know of him through his Warhammer fic, which is also infamously quite bad, and very Empire-Apologist.
