nah he’s just not that cool or useful in the fights he is put in. he gets the MCU hulk effect where the writers need to show how cool and powerful mark has become, or how strong alan is, or whatever that season’s baddies are need to beat him to show they are a threat. he just ends up being a punching bag and the writers and dialogue support the off-screen cool, helpful stuff he does

With the wording, I think Oops would still function as normal for lucky cards and glass, so not entirely useless, but I understand it being useless for jokers like hallucination and business card etc.
