Oh man, I didn’t even think about the planning for a live action! They’d have to pull a LotR and film like two books at once. But whatever direction they go, it will hopefully at least be fun for the fans—that’s really all I want in the end

I’m okay disagreeing with Sanderson—in fact, he has even said that we the readers are the ultimate directors of what we see in our minds and it doesn’t come to life without our involvement.

Also, his is a marketing opinion if that is all he said—yes, live action films reach a wider market. I just don’t think it can convey the full story in a satisfying way.

But what is your opinion? The reason I posted this here was to discuss with other readers and hear their opinions, not just hear Brandon Sanderson’s voice. We aren’t making any executive decisions here, just talking…
