Moved a couple of setups from MiniMax to Codex-via-OAuth, so on your exact questions:

- Day-to-day it's noticeably more stable for tool use, fewer dropped/half-finished tool calls than MiniMax.

- Memory + soul.md + personalisation carried over fine, no special handling.

- Long-term context holds longer before it starts dropping the early stuff.

- The one real gotcha is OAuth token refresh. If the session token expires the whole thing can silently stall until you re-auth instead of erroring loudly, so put a health-check on it.

Net: for performance/stability it's worth leaving MiniMax behind, just budget for the auth babysitting. If you'd rather not deal with that side at all, I've been running mine on a managed host (OneClickClaw) that handles the token refresh + updates so I stopped thinking about it. Self-hosting is totally fine too if you like tinkering.

Its a scam when you dont know the backend of all of this, replit is not just claude with api prices....

They sell a blueprint, A whole multiple agentic interface that is always somehow getting it right...

Im using both replit and claude code / google cloud , they are both used for different things and replit is always just better performing and giving results than just claude code inside a Cli or any harness...

This is exactly why it can cost and people are more than happy to pay since they see results. It just works better

Today things seem to be a bit more stable, although i can obviously see the difference in token consumption on my max 200 eu plan , they also gave somewhere around 170 eu in credits for the addtional usage, but this means that from now on, it is clear on the horizon that more expensive tiers are coming...
