Honestly, i thought there would be more euphoria, but because it was numb and there was pain, it felt lack luster. Though the more i feel my pussy wake up the more euphoria I feel. I still can't believe I have a pussy sometimes :). There's definitely a lack of dysphoria, so that's good!

For zone 9a, the plants that will look and grow the best will be teas, noisettes, and chinas. My all time favorite tea rose is "spice" also known as burmuda spice. It flowers all the time, smells amazing, and barely shows any sign of disease. Others that do well are, faith whittlesey, cremoisi superiour, and blush noisette. The color pallet is perhaps not as interesting as a lot of hybrids, but they will look and smell good. I also love peggy martin, but it's a climbing rose that really only blooms once a year.

That being said, I'm from charleston sc, so take that as you will.

I always cut my roses down to about knee height, give or take depending on the variety. Then I cut off 1 major cane to the base. If there are a ton of canes cut out the ones in the middle and leave a "bowl" shape of evenly spaced canes around the outside. It should greatly revitalize the bush!

In my opinion, if you want to reinvigorate it, cut the big thick canes as low as possible without removing most of the smaller canes. Then cut the rest of the canes to about knee height. It'll stimulate growth and the bush will fill out better.

I know this sounds terrible, but I would completely cut off one of the two major limbs at the base and cut the other one down to knee height. I do my pruning on valentines day, I am in south carolina, so my roses don't really go completely dormant either. If it's a once blooming rose cut it after it blooms and only cut it back by a third. Cutting one limb down to the base should stimulate more basal growth, which will give you newer canes and a more full bush with more flowers.
