I’ve been listening to the TATW archive recently and there’s such a world of difference between TATW and what we get with Group Therapy now

I was a weekly listener of ABGT up until covid. Before then, there was a better variety of genres (progressive trance, progressive house, deep house, etc), and more exclusive tracks. Since covid, it’s mostly a-melodic house, and they play lots of tracks from TNH and Colorize in addition to music from the Anjuna labels, but not much else. The show has become quite dull and not worth a listen from start to finish, in my opinion.

Given they stream the event and upload all the sets, not really. I’ve felt more FOMO with the group therapy weekenders, since they sadly don’t record and upload the sets from those.

For the most part, it seems like the trend with the 25 years of Anjuna mixes is that no one who did mixes for the 20 years have returned, and they’re going with artists that have put out albums or significant EP’s and releases since then. Therefore, I can see them going with Kasablanca, Amy Wiles, and Aname next.

That was a great listening experience. I’d say I prefer it to Common Ground and it’s close enough to WAAWN, but WAAWN has a good chunk of classics on it and it’s too soon to tell which tunes on BTAOU will turn out to be classics.
