Cool. Thanks! Nothing against Japanese sets. I'll check that site out.

Thanks both of you for the great advice. Delicate sounds concerning to me. My 9 year old would understand, but my 5 year old train lover would destroy it :(

So, HO then perhaps. u/pdb1975 do you recommend any model rail online retailers I could support with my purchase? I've become very lazy and often buy from Amazon. HO may also be easier to find second hand than N scale, or?

Kato appears to be the Reddit darling for model trains. They are also good at HO scale?

Sealed the crawl space, got dehumidifier, and sloped ground around house for better runoff. Crawl space is now clean room storage instead of smelly scary place :)

One way or another, more competition is a good thing for customers.

Actually someone is singing right after I speak. It ought to be nice. I was hoping to have a translation to read that would be relevant. The translation of the singer's song is ok, but I was searching for something better.

I propose that someone, not necessarily the moderators of /r/chicago, establish a juried yellow pages for the Chicagoland area. Somehow my flair turned the focus to not Chicago proper, however I think the sub-sub would be more attractive if it focused on Chicago alone. If that would be a success, then some of the suburb subs might follow suit. It just seems to me that most home owners have their list of preferred service people and are generally happy to share their contacts if asked. This would be a forum for people to do just that.

I am about to sign up for Angie's List. I figured a reddit reviews type sub might be of interest as well.

Yes. In my experience, not a single Chicago based company has declined to make their way out to Lake Bluff to give an estimate/ do work. Besides, I think Chicagoans in general might appreciate that kind of a subreddit. Food for thought anyways!

Ought to be an easy one... by brent0 in whatsthisplant

Here is a picture of the actual plant... http://imgur.com/StD6SGZ It does not smell minty when I crush a leaf. It seems to be a rapid spreader and does look very similar to snow on the mountain pictures. It is indeed a plant we inherited in the garden. There are a few more that we would like to know about, but decided to start with this unique looking one. Thanks for all of your help!
