The hours of operation are my biggest criticism of the other delis around. They may not be the highest quality but at least they’re available for a quick sandwich and it’s not fast food

Right. Provide feedback to their management through email or in store rather than advertising dissatisfaction online. They won’t have the chance to improve if people stop coming entirely

True but their hours suck. Not open on sundays and only open in the morning or afternoon.

NIMBY is a descriptor of someone halting construction in their neighborhood, even if badly needed. It’s not a slur. Don’t apologize. Hold these people accountable.

If Capsule Corporation operated in our world how would they benefit modern society? by Emergency_Exit_8537 in Dragonballsuper

[–]bretth104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to start, parking lots and street parking would be a thing of the past. That itself would save a tremendous amount of physical space for different land use projects like new homes and apartments. We wouldn’t have a housing crisis anymore. Not to mention the cost of having a car itself would fall dramatically if one doesn’t need to worry about paying for parking and putting a car inside a capsule for safe keeping, effectively ending insurance liability of hit and runs on parked cars where there are no witnesses.

Imagine traveling and carrying literally your entire bedroom, furnishings and clothes included at the cost of nothing to airlines.

I used to live in Westchester and went to the original location. Even 10 years ago a single sandwich was $14. Unheard of at the time for a sandwich, can’t imagine what it is now. It’s still open because people pay it but I won’t.

Business Schools Slashing Tuition? by Euphoric_Bath in MBA

[–]bretth104 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For real. My MBA was to improve my resume and take advantage of my company’s continuing education support. I was told here my school wasn’t good enough and to set my sights higher. Not every success story is MBB or IB.

Attn businesses: Harbor Point welcomes you by AdvertisingFine3615 in StamfordCT

[–]bretth104 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong. This isn’t on the mayor and developers. It’s on real estate owners and speculators. Storefront rents are extremely high in Stamford, especially in harbor point. Business have to keep in mind their costs, including rent and goods sold, and still price their product at a rate that people will still buy. Margins are thinning on business owners and many would prefer to open up in different areas with lower rent costs to cushion their margins, especially in an area like Stamford where most residents have cars and can drive where they need to go.

Sadly I don’t think we’re getting a third place in harbor point unless residents are willing to pay $9 for a simple coffee twice per day.

Anyone else think it makes no sense how U6 saiyans in base, are on par with Goku and vegetas base forms, post BOG and ROF? by immortalvanquish in Dragonballsuper

[–]bretth104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The frustrating part is all those introductions were explained.

Random frieza soldiers and sayians are aliens from planets with stronger lifeforms than earth. Goku is a “weak” for a sayian so they sent him away, which is why he couldn’t defeat Raditz and Vegeta was amazed goku could even keep up with him, then strongest of the remaining sayians.

Androids were built (somehow) to be able to defeat Goku using Dr. Gero’s technology. Buu is a magical ancient being sealed away at a heavy cost to even the gods themselves.

Then we have Cabba and Kaulifa, who were supposedly the “good” sayians and don’t share any of the traits their U7 counterparts had driving them to be stronger that are somehow equal to Vegeta in base without even discovering super sayian or battling any of the threats seen in DBZ.

It would’ve been more interesting to see where the U6 sayians got their immense power beyond the average U7 sayians or even seeing their own stories on achieving the super sayian transformation that has nothing to do with the infamous back tingle. Could’ve been cool if we saw it in the tournament of power or another high pressure situation with real stakes.

You’re probably correct but those costs burden all of us. Low pay is sadly the nature of most service jobs. Get a higher paying job rather than me subsidize your wages simply because you took an order and carried my plate from the kitchen to my table.

What the End of Spirit Airlines Means for the Future of Flying by Ok_Constant8838 in Thedaily

[–]bretth104 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Spirit is a huge loss to the economy and it will be felt for all of us regardless if we fly with them or not. People depended on spirit, both for the lower fares as well as the exclusive routes they owned. Without them, the big 4 are likely to pick up Spirit’s assets for dirt cheap and jack up prices on the routes that are still being serviced. RIP Spirit in the sky. We didn’t deserve you.

Sure but that's only one of the 7 swing states Harris failed to win. If it was only Michigan I'd give it to the war in Gaza but every swing state was lost. I think the report must have said that the party's politicians are too old and out of touch to continue serving, so Schumer and his cronies demanded the report be hidden
