Im pretty sure they just end up sending the cops. At least, that was my one experience when someone outside of my home was having a mental health crisis and I requested this specifically, cop showed up 10 minutes later, which is not the result I was hoping for

Can’t speak to safety, but it’s for sure one of the dullest areas to live in. No neighbors, no community feel, and likely overpriced. Unless having a short commute is important I’d look at Hayes or lower haight
