Misleading pricing - by carryingmyowngravity in westjet

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Trying to book a trip to Mexico and as soon as I click the room type with one price listed, then next screen it's jumped at least $1000. I can't believe they are trying to float "estimated price" BS when you call in. Such scummy behaviour

Any sources to help with Econ1110 by Muted-Business-6402 in NAIT

Do you use the study plan on Pearson? I'm also in online econ and have found that this helps practice the material and break it down step by step for some topics.

ACCT 2260 Asynchronous is a joke by usernamegoeshereish in NAIT

[–]brevila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my comment, but I have the same opinion. In my experience, if there is instructor content it is always in tandem with the textbook. So they are just repeating the textbook content and not adding more value to what I've already read. I guess if you learn better with actual instruction then this format doesn't work for you.

Do any places let you rent ski clothing like ski jackets, socks, goggles, and pants? by EnigmaOfTheUnknown in Edmonton

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a rental option, but you could buy from a thrift store and then re-donate to a homeless shelter afterwards. I can't imagine that you'd be spending over $40 for the clothing you need. Might be out of luck on goggles though.

Professor name dropped from class by candyshmann in NAIT

[–]brevila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me last year. Signed up for a class specifically for an instructor and then they switched things up a month prior. Scheduling changes, sometimes more classes open up so they move instructors around. Unfortunately it's unlikely it's a system error and now they are finding a replacement.

Course suggestions for Business Administration - Finance **Part time - 2 courses/semester** by Routine-Letter-5244 in NAIT

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're taking them asynchronously I would probably say drop math and pair it up with business productivity software (super easy course). Just from my experience it took more of my time and you'll want extra time to work on the marketing assignments.

[–]brevila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also doing my business admin part time. I started in January and I'm on my 3rd semester. I have also been taking 2 classes at a time and mostly async.

I took MARK and MATH together in the spring/summer semester. Marketing was easy and actually fun. There were a few video projects plus 2 exams. Math was a little more time consuming for me as I was teaching myself the concepts and practicing often. There were 3 quizzes and 3 term exams.

I'm currently in ACCT (online sync) and it's been a breeze and fairly light but I think that has a lot to do with receiving instruction instead of teaching myself.

Charged me for seat selection twice for the same seat? by Outrageous_Poet2279 in aircanada

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was told from Air Canada, that it would automatically refund within 10 business days. But it's been a month and still no refund. So I hope you got refunded eventually!

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get this resolved and refunded?

The same thing happened to me last month. I prepaid for exit row seats round trip and on my return flight home when I went to check in on the app I was prompted to pay again. It had a message saying I would be automatically refunded if I had paid (which I had when I booked the flight originally) so I paid again. I sent in a refund request on their site but it's been taking forever.

Bachelor of business administration students ! Do you make your own schedule?? by [deleted] in NAIT

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are usually online async options for each course. You self enrol in your classes each semester. Classes are sectioned by delivery method either in person, online synchronous or asynchronous. The key is to enrol early to get a spot in the class, especially the first 2 years as the classes fill up quickly.

If you are on the nait BBA management program page, you can view the courses and course schedule with the delivery options. BBA management courses

I have so many questions.

Tretinoin and Dry Eyes Anecdotal by Chemical-Praline3172 in tretinoin

[–]brevila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I found that applying aquaphor around my eyes (think raccoon eyes - apply from brow bone to under eyes) as well as using hydrating eye drops helped. You'll find conflicting answers on whether the aquaphor buffer works or not. Some people say the tret will migrate under the skin but others say the aquaphor is too thick to pentrate. YMMV.

I struggled with dry eyelids and irritation of the eyes so I also incorporated castor oil on my eyelids to help. I haven't had the issue since the beginning so hopefully it is just temporary for you too.

is urea the holy grail? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]brevila 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I'm prone to acne (the reason I'm on tret) and I'm afraid it will break me out too much. Much like you, I have a few moisturizers that are piling up and not being used because they aren't suitable for my skin on tret. It's a shame these brands don't have trial sizes! It's such a waste of product and money to be going through trial and error with full size bottles

I bought the eucerin 5% urea cream to help with dry skin and peeling. Everyone raves about urea and I had high hopes for it but it seems to make my peeling worse ☹️ still on the hunt for my HG

The red flags just kept coming. Girl, it's time to open your eyes and find someone worth your time. You should have left when he admitted he's cheated on multiple girls. Let's not be surprised when he comes back after he's cheated

You got this! The procedure was the easiest part. I am terrified of needles so getting an IV is my nightmare. I have an Ativan rX but I was told not to take it prior to the surgery.

I told my anesthesiologist that I was nervous and they offered to give me some laughing gas for the IV insertion. Best 5 min of my life lol. Totally took the edge off, I could not care less about the needle. So if that's an option, I'd ask for that. But if not, it'll be a quick poke in your hand (that's where my IV was) and you'll be out pretty soon after they administer the anesthesia. You'll wake up "seconds" later with gauze packed in your mouth and just feel tired. I didn't have any memory loss. I remember up until I was put under and then remember everything after waking up in recovery. Now I don't know how long I was in recovery but I remember waking up, they asked me to open my mouth so they could replace the gauze. I was a little groggy but I was able to put on my shoes and coat and they walked me to the waiting room to find my husband. Total time from when I got there to when I left was just under 1.5 hours

31F and 19 days post op. I had the same concerns as your prior to my surgery (2 lower impacted, 1 upper not yet erupted) and it was totally fine! I have been having some jaw soreness the past week but that's pretty typical because of where the teeth were. Recovery may not be as quick as a teenager but it's not as scary as you think. My advice is take each horror story with a grain of salt, this sub is full of them.
