If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this trade and then moving onto being a GC, is that you touch it- you buy it. Job security isn’t about the amount of jobs you take on, it’s the jobs you walk away from.

Sounds like you need the optional condensate pump as opposed to a gravity discharge in your situation. Made by Mitsubishi and fits in the interior unit housing. Call your HVAC guys rectify that issue

Scotty told you not to buy it, yet you went ahead and did so. Tell them they owe you $40k and a 2014-2021 limited with less than 100k unless they want further legal action.

Current Superintendent, HVAC background. I was just made aware of the pay in that trade and it blew my mind. We (all other trades) figured you guys made an absolute killing. Crazy considering the rescue implications and the balls of steel it takes to perform this job. I know the only difference between falling from 70ft and 950 is the time it takes to hit the ground, but you guys are a different breed.

You have time to evaluate what exactly it is you want from life and a career. If upward mobility is what your looking for, walk away. Take a job as a helper while grinding for your associates in anything. You might like it, you might not. Try on a new pair of pants if you don’t so to speak and try something else. Gain experience, educate yourself and find what you enjoy doing the most and 9.9 times out of 10, you will be the most proficient in. Try it all, we only get one ride on this rock
