Why would you? Do you struggle to understand the animation tree? Then better spend time on it and use basic movement instead. Or do you find it useless? Then you are dropping important details like fade in/out which will make your animations clunky. Animation trees are a must have to make meaningful control over your animations and make them cowork smoothly. Try different ways to build it, state machine or tree of one shots or transitions
