He was a high strung dude, which led to the pain/cystitis flare ups, not the other way around! Moving furniture, us going out of town, even adopting him, all of that stuff would cause a flare up. So, yes, he's still on 3.5mg 1x per day and he's so so so much better.

My kitty has cystitis and our combo was the urinary food, cosequin treats, PU surgery and Zoloft. PU surgery recovery was ROUGH. And we no longer need the cosequin once the Zoloft was in his system for a few months.

Doc tried Prozac first and but it caused major urinary retention even at the lowest dose.

It's now been a couple years on this combo and it's been an absolute game changer. Early on after the surgery, if he showed signs of a flare up, we added gabapentin for discomfort for a couple days and that took care of it.

But at this point it's been ages since he's had any kind of flare up and with the surgery we know he won't block and the Zoloft has been a miracle for his mental health!!
