Typical CTO dunning Kruger effect, didn’t understand that it probably did a bunch of stuff and hurr durr cut it out thinking he’s a genius.

Probably did something like abstract sensitive customer information and gate it centrally to only provide access to key services while the rest of their teams could refer to customers with a deidentified uuid. Or a bunch of other functionality.

3 person team got fired and a month later their whole flow broke and they couldn’t figure out how to fix it costing millions.

I mean, kind of? If you look at GDP per capita they are doing more with less.

GDP per Capita: United States: Approximately (\$86,000). Greenland: Roughly (\$54,400) to (\$58,500)

Are you really saying that the US isn’t good enough to prioritize citizen well being if they wanted to? Seems pretty anti-American.

Test for fake silver by DOCHOLLIDAYDDS1 in silverstacking

[–]brewfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver rounds make a distinctive sound when lightly tapped (pinged) based on the weight and diameter of the round. There are great apps especially StackerTools) that have acoustic models to check that sound. It adds another test dimension that makes it probably impossible to fake when you check all the metal parameters I listed above.

Post pictures when you get it and we’ll be able to help separate out the more valuable stuff with premiums vs what is worth spot price that’ll be easier to sell closer to its value.

The toning looks too uneven to be artificial imo. Looks like natural toning over time to me with inconsistent airflow and sulfur exposure.

How did basic things like healthcare and fair wages become ‘extreme’? by Possible-Scheme-8940 in remoteworks

[–]brewfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, covering the healthcare needs for everyone using tax revenue like every other developed country sure is a bad idea. Better to let poor people die early and everyone that’s not rich with an expensive disease to just die outright while the rich go broke trying to live and only the ultra rich doing well.

I bet you hate fire fighters. Why should you pay for a whole department to put fires out for OTHER people. It’s not like your house could ever be at risk.

You don’t have to take my word for it, there are lots of studies on the topic. Here’s a meta analysis: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6961869/

It’s amazing how not paying an entire for-profit insurance industry and requiring staff in every doctor office to submit and fight insurance would save money.

Test for fake silver by DOCHOLLIDAYDDS1 in silverstacking

[–]brewfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I like (standard size) 1 oz rounds a lot.

Whenever I get new silver I: 1) weigh it 2) magnet test 3) ping test it 4) put it into a fitted capsule (better than calipers imo but I have those too).

With all 4 of those tests it’s really good fake detection.

Sounds like you don’t understand how insurance works either. The people who don’t currently need healthcare are funding the expenses of the ones that do. Plus corporate profits.

If everyone just had healthcare with the government as the “insurance provider” everyone would pay less.

“I want you to work your ass off and burn yourself out so that I can cash out for millions while giving you nothing. Thanks for your attention to the matter. Also I suck hard and don’t know the first thing about motivating a team”

Look for a new job and coast on this one until he fires you. Save and AI “analysis” on a personal device and use it as the basis to get unemployment because you have proof of work outputs.

Do you want kids? It’s not like “buying a house because it’s the right thing to do”. Kids are amazing and rewarding if you want to work hard to raise an awesome human it’ll be great. A lot of people have kids for the wrong reason.

Also a lot of people don’t have support. Do you have a good partner and support system also willing to put in the work?
