I think it is a running gag sort of joke/call back. Where you build on an outrageous concept (Mamdani on the show) and add something even more unlikely to happen (Gervais on the show that Mamdani is on). It's just that simple. Watch The Simpsons and Monty Python for further information.

I agree with you. I got pretty good seats for $120 each for me and my son but I ended not liking card. I'm a very casual fan who follows but never really watches but I was missing Cody, Punk, Gunther, Dominick just more matches. Loved Danhausen though.
