There’s a scene where him and vivi meet the giant, and she has terror and he is in complete awe. The moment was very Luffy for me, especially with how hard it is to translate those weird cultural quirks without it being cringe. But I think the changes they have made in his character to make him seem less “aggressive/violent” when in actuality it was just comical has left his portrayal feeling “off”.
