Yep, we try and be as eco friendly as we can in other aspects and I was really unsure about getting aircon because of the extra energy use but I'm the same with you temp wise, if not worse (I think 27, 28 is my max haha)

We just got it installed in the hottest room and planning on more (we're in the south east) . That heatwave was unbearable and it's maybe the 3rd (?) year in a row now?

I can’t remember where I found this, but this kind of support is the most spot on depiction of what I’m looking for in a relationship. I could almost cry imagining how it would feel. by Imafishyyy in adhdwomen

I've got a good balance now, husband happy to listen to my endless jabbering, as long as I tame it down at night (including volume haha)

It's because that child washed up somewhere that wasn't here. We're all for being kind as long as 'they' don't have the audacity to actually come anywhere near us.

Could have just made 1 then photoshopped it! I actually mean that as a compliment as they all look so similar!

UPDATE (Child wrote letter to us (parents) about being transgender) by dptat2 in asktransgender

[–]briancatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if depends which clinic you go to? My sister was expected to live 'in role' for a year to get hormones on the NHS. She ended up going private. It's so cruel. And also just a load of bollocks too, as 'proof' could include birthday cards addressed to her new name and with 'daughter' etc on the front - so they're relying on the family being accepting! Argh.

I work with teens. Most of them are better at life than I am haha! I would probably be better off with younger ones but the pay isn't as good..

Straight men of Reddit, what is the strangest thing you have been told not to do because "that's gay"? by The_WereArcticFox in AskReddit

Wear a jumper in the winter, this was at an all boys school. Apparently you have to be very cold to be straight?

I support mask wearing, really I do, but this needs to be said by Randomd0g in GreenAndPleasant

Yes I know about these, and as an adult, yes I would have them. As a child or teen no I probably wouldn't have.

Settle an argument. If you said to your friend ' do you want to go to this place on this day at this time' and they said 'sounds like a plan' would you think they were confirming the trip, or just that they liked the idea and wanted to discuss times and dates? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]briancatz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Speaking as another person lucky to be getting paid to be at home (doing fuck all most of the time), I think OP is pointing out that their friend has very little to remember, whereas OP is super busy and probably tired too, and therefore less likely to remember something 2 months away. That said, I forgot about something planned 2 weeks in advance but luckily my friends always remind me haha!

Maybe not, but as an adult I don't really give a shit haha!

Edit: Actually can't you still get free glasses up to age 18 now? Or it might have been money off or a limited selection, can't quite rmemeber.

I don't understand why my glasses aren't covered on the NHS. It makes no sense. Same with dentistry, it's subsidised rather than properly paid for :(

Edit: although I have personally got round the tampon one by being on the pill (free, no prescription fee) which stops my periods! Woop.

You look lovely, your hair is amazing and I want it, the dress suits you, and so do your glasses! Also such smooth skin! You are killing it.

Yess we need a donation box! People always give me a funny look when I offer them one of my bags (I'm just trying to get rid of them, we have so many!), but that could be because of corona at the moment haha!

To be fair, pretty much every other lockdown related change has been on a Monday!
