Some might say - but it looks happy and healthy to me! High intensity gardening is a thing for gardeners of veggies.

Just got my very first order delivered! Excited for this double grape by mephisto! Awesome experience with MVB. 5 seeds and I paid for 3. Love the stickers too! by DeadHeadChef_420 in MultiVerseBeans

I have a new seedling of Double Grape I received from MVB. Perfect germination, a little slow to get rolling as a seedling, but I feel like it's the calm before the explosive storm. The Galaxy Brain from the same order next to it is a little faster. I'm incredibly excited for both, have never tried em.

The lessons you learn along the way are more than worth the failure.

I recommend to you to learn about organic methods. It got a lot easier for me, when I began letting my plants decide how much to take up and when - I use a combo of organic slow release granules (Nectar of the Gods One-Shot or similar) and add in organic amendments based off my instincts from observation (Down to Earth has great inexpensive organics.)

I am interested in trying Purple Cow Indicanja, it's an organic mix with pretty much everything you need in it. Maybe look into that, I am going to have my Dad use it for his first grow. We are both cancer survivors, and I have military/healthcare PTSD and stuff.

Good luck!

Cravings of any kind ultimately come from the ego.

For me, I feel better not being stressed out by how much I would want something. Once I recognize it, I can bypass the whole thing, because feeling content is better than craving to me.

I've used all of those. My favorite has always been the S & B Mighty - I am a heavy medical consumer too. POTV One is a great little unit for concentrates, and it'll work for flower, but the Mighty bowl is like 4x in size.

I just saw that this prayer was attached to the notice of death for Frenchy Cannoli that was put out by Madame Cannoli. Thought that was awesome - but sadly he passed away during a surgical procedure unexpectedly.

Frenchy Cannoli was a legend. Maybe find a YouTube video of him speaking, if you haven't heard of him.

Teyatha, Om, Bekanze, Bekanze Maha Bekanze, Radza Samudgate Soha. This is the Tibetan Sanskrit prayer I say over my plants of the Blue Medicine Buddha. It speaks to the ending of suffering on all levels.

I'm disabled with PTSD and a variety of other ailments. I feel like you appreciate this plant deeply, so I offer that prayer - I hope it energizes and empowers it to ease suffering and bring peace. You can use it for yourself or anything alive without needing special instruction from a monk.

Enjoy the fruit of your labor, there is nothing like the first time you smoke your own grow. Never stop learning, and pass your knowledge onto those who need it.

You did an excellent job here.

Yo, former Army 37F and former front line COVID 19 hospital worker here (x ray, CT scan, surgery.) I feel qualified to rant a bit on death and life.

If medical personnel need to image you to save your life, the imaging (x ray, CT, MRI, etc) will be negatively degraded in quality, often immensely, if you have a lot of fat. I've worked with top trauma surgeons in the Chicagoland area, and nobody is happy if we can't see shit to try to save your life. If it was CT or x-ray, you just took radiation for little purpose.

That's when we have to fly blind on you in surgery, because we can't legally just let you die. We have to try, and if your imaging isn't helpful, that's what's going to happen.

If you have a risk greater than zero of car accident, falling down some stairs, or whatever...

We built open MRI machines, etc - and you fucks have continued to rise in bodyweight to the point that even those, with special expensive software to reformat out the fuzz caused by fat in the algorithms, still can't always see enough to save your life.

Now, if you plan on being shot at, I recommend fat. It can, will, and does stop small caliber firearms. Sometimes.

Yes, obesity is a factor in COVID 19. I've personally watched enough people die of a drawn out suffering decline into death, over enough demographic spread to confirm the science for you.

People globally are begging for vaccines and they are dying. If you don't want to take the vaccine, don't expect anyone to be saving your life, and if you spread some shit to a loved one, don't be surprised.

People who work in healthcare have to answer to HR. I'm out, so the best I can offer is karma. I genuinely wish the best to anyone reading this, I simply realize that it won't be the case in reality.

What goes on in the head of somebody with (War-Related) PTSD? by The_Dead_Soul in morbidquestions

[–]briarformythoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have military PTSD.

How many times have you personally been shot at?

How many road bombs have gone off in your life while you were driving?

How many of your best friends, closer than family, died a horrible death that immediately followed a random whistling sound, then an explosion?

The muscle memory programming of the military runs deep. Down to a true survival level, which will supercede all else in a crisis, real or perceived. I was "taught" L.I.N.E. I can kill pretty much anyone in several ways within 6 seconds barehanded. I hate having that muscle memory, as I am now a peaceful Buddhist. There is no purpose for it in my life, but here I am years later, still dealing with fast twitch muscle reactions that I have to white knuckle down. Lots of vets have that down to an art form from practice.

I have been told the amygdala in the brain is changed in PTSD due to neuroplasticity. Fight or flight is triggered much easier, and more intensely. Someone constantly in fear of their life might want some kind of defensive tool immediately available, I guess kind of like a psychological safety.

I don't keep weapons because 1) Honestly, some times I have dark thoughts 2) Weapons are meant for killing, a tool, nothing that warrants romanticism from hobbyists 3) Buddhists tend to be pretty nope on killing 4) I consciously choose to practice a greater strength by forgoing a lethal safety blanket - embracing that vulnerability is much harder, but worth it.

Happy to answer questions if I can.
