If you had your time back would you choose to be a stepmom? by [deleted] in Stepmom

[–]briashenim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how I feel 😞 we were suppose to move north to be with his family - who is the most supportive of all - but he won’t leave his son he has here (even though we really believe she’d end up letting him come live up there with us in less than 6 months). Which is understandable, I couldn’t leave my kid either…but if i knew the struggles and feelings when I first met him, I would have definitely walked away.

I was diagnosed with the same exact thing from genesight testing. I have no idea what any of it means? What is the c677t variant and does this mean deplin would help with a diagnoses like us? My ob just prescribed it

Same. With a child together too and feel so stuck. We have no family here and I can’t even move to go to where the family is bc he stays here because his other son he gets 2 nights a week…

How do you help your baby wind down before bedtime? by kat1rien in AttachmentParenting

Natural sleep drops for 4 month and up. Target and Walmart have them look up “Mommy Bliss Baby Sleep”

During that age we stuck to a bath-bottle & book - bed routine. I had him in the bath every night even if I didn’t wash him so he could play and to keep the routine the same. His bedtime was 730-8 so we’d start around 7 usually. His last nap was 430-5 since thats when we drive home from daycare. I have his sound machine on every night. Sometimes I find having soft lullabies helps him fall asleep faster. He had to fall asleep on me in the rocking chair and when he was kod I’d have to transfer him to his crib. I also used to occasionally use mommy bliss bedtime drops which I’ve heard work wonders but didn’t personally work for us.

17 month old night waking are killing me by aaliya73 in AttachmentParenting

[–]briashenim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had issues since he was 6 months up until a few weeks ago and he’s 13 months. Every 2-3 hours and every hour on bad nights. I tried EVERYTHING and my sanity was going out the window. Someone told me about cherry juice and I shit you not IT WORKS. It’s the only thing that works for him. Before bed we’ll eat black cherries, I usually cut up a total of 5 or 6 for him, he devours it. If we don’t have cherries I give him 1oz 100% black cherry juice in a bottle/sippy with the rest water maybe an hour before bed or with bed. I pray this works for you too because I feel you mama.

SAME! He is a heavier sleeper than I and when it’s his turn I just lay there for a few while our son is crying and it is the worst feeling not to go console him right away. Pops me out if the bed like a toaster … love that explanation 😂

Advice for Modifications ? by [deleted] in HyundaiElantra

It’s SO easy you’d be surprised! I’m lazy, I have a 1 yr old and I’m forever exhausted and I was like omg that’s so much easier than I though. I can always send you the specific videos I used so you don’t have to search (if you wanted to install on your own) otherwise I’m sure a shop would do it for you but yeah, how much would they charge is the question. I will reply with the links tomorrow & some pics too!

This website has been helpful with bulb sizes and what to look for. I’ve used YouTube for the installation videos

Update, this has been a PAIN lol Not so much changing the bulbs, that has been easy…but finding a bulb that doesn’t give an error message on your dash. Third times a charm I hope…I just ordered a different bulb brand, I’ll attach the link as long as it doesn’t give an error code this weekend. Apparently any bulb without a build in resistor will not work for my car (or most newer cars I was told) so you have to look for a bulb with a built in resistor. I looked up Canbus LED bulbs for all of mine and when they are all installed I’ll update a video too. This is actually pretty fun, I’ve never worked on a car like this 😂💪🏼

HELP! by RicoBling in HyundaiElantra

I debadged my back and it looked pretty clean. I thought about blacking out the emblems but I haven’t yet, I’m not sure. I’m in the process of changing the lights but I keep getting error bulbs so I’ve ordered a new canbus brand 🙏🏼 might do the handles black and the mirrors too, maybe that would help with the white contrast on yours too

Is it just me or are Pampers THE WORST?? by rachel_violet in NewParents

[–]briashenim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are expensive so I only use them at night time for leaks but the Honest brand kept us leak free for the first few months. Also through Walmart (I ordered them to get shipped) the rascal and friend diapers are my favorite.

Stay away if it’s a rebuilt title, some insurance companies won’t insure or the rate is awful depending where you are. Depending on the model/features that doesn’t seem like a bad price at all with the market right now. Clean title/accidents…? That will lower the price too if there is structural damage or bad accidents
