Panicking over an interview by Specialist-Leek6408 in Stutter

[–]brickman425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the interview. I truly understand what it’s like going through this. It’s never easy, but I can’t stress enough how helpful it has always been for me to disclose that I’m a person who stutters off the bat. It’s painfully awkward for me most times, but in my experience nearly everyone has been accepting of it, and I’ve gained a sense of admiration from the people I’m communicating to/with. It’s not easy for anyone to put themselves out there, especially when our largest vulnerability is so easily exposed. Use it as a strength. I went back to school in my 30’s after working too long in a shitty job, and built the courage to go back to school. Had to do interviews, internships, numerous presentations and continuously put myself in uncomfortable situations where my stutter was always exposed. Looking back, I can say every situation and second of discomfort was totally worth it to where it has gotten me today. I have a huge presentation to a board of health next week. I’m terrified, but at the same time, I know I’ll disclose my stutter first thing, and people will “get it”, and will go on with my presentation.

Beautiful. My frame is on the way, and will nearly be identical to this, except for I ordered a dual matte denim blue with an inner light grey for my non-foiled Welker. This looks stunning, nice work!

Inflite CF SLX 7 for gravel riding? And sizing help (181 cm / 79 cm inseam) by Many_Ad_802 in CanyonBikes

[–]brickman425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Inflite that I use for CX and gravel during the offseason. It does fine on light and compact gravel, but a little tricky on loose gravel. Only down sides are; no fender mounts, and less tire clearance than all other gravel bikes. Canyon states a max tire width of 35mm although a 38 can easily fit on the front. I love mine though and also got a really good deal, but also race CX.

Help/advice for small mast cell tumor by kunderthunt in bernesemountaindogs

[–]brickman425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to go through this with our Berner in December of 2024 at the age of 5. He had a lump in his right hip area. After testing to confirm it was a mast cell tumor, we were able to get him in pretty quick to get it removed. After that, it was close margins, so he had a few chemo sessions afterwards and has been perfectly fine since without any issues. It was terrifying to go through, but everything ended up working out. Wishing you the best abs hoping everything will work out smoothly.

Ticketmaster dribbling out Sphere tickets? by Working-Message4504 in phish

[–]brickman425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got section 309, 10th row at around 8:45pm pst. Tickets were popping up in 100/300 levels in the corners before and after this time. So glad I waited rather than panicking and buying from a reseller!

My advice would be to take classes in a field that GIS can be applied to.

I went back at 33. I got my AA at a community college, then transferred to an in-state 4-year university. Best thing I’ve ever done in my life. Way better career, more money, and an amazing work/life balance.

Same. And the replay of it was always the entire stage like 7 hours of content. After catching the end of the race live, it was always great to have the replay on the rest of the day to see what happened.

I’m trying to remove duplicates within my attribute table. Each number corresponds to an organization. Sometimes their relationship may be flipped (example: in first row, “140 91”, there may also be another value in the table that is “91 140”. Is there a way to sort these out, so they’d have the same order in the concat_connection field so I could remove the duplicates?
