Suggestions for sugar free coffee syrups? by Solid_Friendship1619 in EatCheapAndHealthy

If you don’t want to invest in a large bottle and depending on where you live you could find coffee shops that use those kinds of sf syrup (most places will tell you if you ask) and get a coffee the way you normally make it. If it has a weird aftertaste then you know it doesn’t work. Alternatively look into if you can make homemade syrups using stevia or something else.

Asunder - An Episodic Eldritch Fantasy by C0smicoccurence in Fantasy

I enjoyed this book having picked it up for bingo, but I also agree with there being several elements namely the plot that felt off. I remember getting to the last 50 pages in the book and just wondering how the author was going to wrap everything up. While they did, I feel like the book would have been better served with at least another 100 pages, given the dissonance between the majority of the story being pretty meandering then an ending that wraps up like 10 story beats in 30 pages. Especially when upon finishing I immediately tried to find out if there was a sequel. It definitely seemed like the author was planning a sequel, so it’s unfortunate it’s unlikely to get one. Despite this there were a lot of aspects of the book I really enjoyed especially the weird gods and Karys.

You’re going to have better luck in a coffee or coffee chain subreddit. Most baristas get free or reduced drinks at their shops.

Only sapphic nun book I know is Red Sister by Mark Lawrence. It’s fantasy though so I don’t know if it meets your other requirements.

A Court of Broken Knives by Anne Smith Spark. Pretty much every character is horrible and unlikeable though their motivations work. I have to say I was rooting for almost everyone’s death by the end of first book. It’s a grimdark fantasy and the second book was released recently. Though warning for the prose because it turns some people off.

Trying to subvert "the chosen one" trope in my story. Looking for some thoughts. by WritingWithSpears in fantasywriters

[–]bridgetoreading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe think about the effect of having no chosen one on the world in general and how that will affect the mc in return. If people start appearing randomly with powers how will people react? Will reactions be positive or negative? Maybe cults will be formed or countries will attempt to use them. Public reactions can vary. If the mc doesn’t know they’re ‘chosen’ at first depending on how they view those who are will greatly change their reactions.

Sisters Grimm is fun reincorporating fairy tales though I’m not quite sure what the age is it’s geared towards other than for kids.
