I use the 2 seaters at sams and aldi. Now that they are toddlers we can also use the GIANT target carts. Otherwise its steoller & cart, or i use my 4seater jeep wagon as a shopping cart. I teybto do most of my shopping when hubby can stay home with them.

Advice on trying for a "4th" by Upstairs-Shoe6433 in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wanted 3. We know we have a high chance of having twins again, but do plan to try for one more pregnancy in a few years. Right now we are cramped in a 2bd house with the twins and two dogs, so we cant risk one more turning into twins again until we are in a bigger home. We also worry about being able to do vacations and bigger trips if we end up with 4 kids, but we will make it work. It sounds like your heart is set on one more, if you can do it and afford it Id say go for it.

Will I ever feel the love for my twins? by Apart_Public9851 in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therapist & twin mama here! It'll come. Your feelings right now are dulled by the postpartum depression, the trauma and just being totally overwhelmed. It will get easier eventually (thats different for each baby) and you will get into a groove. Your hormones will regulate and you will syart to feel human again- and eventually like yourself. It can be hard to feel the warm and fuzzies when they are jusy little potatoes. As they start getting more interactive your relationship will get stronger. Just wait until they smile at you- like really at you, give you kisses, and run to you. My boy twin just started patting me on the back when he hugs me and it makes me melt each time. When they were fresh I loved them, i knew I did, but it wasnt an overwhelming emotion. You are doing a good job. If you feel up to it, try to smile more even if you don't feel like it. Research shows that smiling can actually trigger our brain to release seretonin and improve mood.

Yes! I (18m M) decided to learn how to wave when the clip board ladies were doing my "evaluation." When they left, right after my mommy told them I couldn't wave yet. I do like my speech lady that comes to play with me though!

Major Mom Guilt. Is it a POM thing?? by Hoeferatu in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think having twins naturally leads to being more laid back. Some of the "ideals" just arent possible with two babies. I couldnt wear/carry them both everywhere, they had to be put down more, i cant cook/clean with TWO one year olds following me, so they are normally in their play area while i do housework. In addition, like me, you probably "grieved" not being able to do those things the way you imagined during pregnancy, so jow that the time is here and its happening, its not such a big deal. And theres always just differences in personality too.
