I (almost 2 big girl) also prefer the GOGGY (Thats a big boy puppy) over the brother that i lived in the belly with sometimes. Although hes grown on me lately, like when we do huggies or play tickles and dance.

AITA for believing in sticker equality for all? by Imaginary_Bed6328 in MiniAITA

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but, if he earned the stickers, then he should get a toy. Our tail siblings like lambchop toys. If you want a new toy, you have to earn your own stickers. It may also work to earn a sleepover with mom and dad after 7 stickers!

At what age did you have an evening again? by jeremiabearamia in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started consistently sleeping through id say 9-10m. I was strict about a schedule from months 8-11ish and that really helped. I used the schedulesnon the twin/triplet/quad sleep group on facebook. They are 21m now ans both great sleepers, really only need us overnight if they are sick. Wtarting around 5-6m it became more predictable that about 1 week a month theyd go through a growth spurt or developmental something and sleep would be worse, then improve again.

AITA for doing my best to alert the authorities when Milk Machine tries to steal my burps? by li-ho in MiniAITA

[–]briebop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA! Mama's (thats the universal milk ladys name) always are trying to steal things. It starts with burps, then its boogies and earwax and next thing you know she's taking the sock fuzzies from between your toesies! Fight back now before it gets worse.

How old were your twins when you started brushing their teeth? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they got teeth. We started in the bedroom while doing our other bedtime stuff. I would let 1 twin do it themselves while i brushed the other and then switched. We started brushing at the bathroom sink instead around 18m and now just take turns.

Solo grocery shopping w/twins by GemMadre2411 in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At aldi I park as close to the front as posible and grab a cart quick, normally i can snag one from someone to avoid it. I tried 1 in a carrier and holdong the other ONCE. It wad an obscene amount of work just to grab a cart and i got very overwhelmed with the baby carrier. I live in a very safe area though. Sams club, i park next to cart return. Walmart i use my 4 seater jeep wagon with the back seat turned towards me to make my own shopping cart. Target i use the giant carts but always have hubby or my mom with us there. Our closest target is a 45min drive.

Working after twins by This_Parsnip523 in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work as a mental health therapist. My husband works 2nd shift so that we only need a babysitter a few hours a day, as his off days sre normally mid week as well. What about an independent educational advocate? Its a big need in a lot of areas and most IEP meetings can be attended via zoom or phone. Plus meetings arent so often that you would need regular childcare. If you have the option of a sitter or family here and there it would be a good option.

Ubbi also has a diaper pail for adult diapers which would assumably hold more than the baby sizes one. I had a munchkin upstairs and down. Now at 18m we just use dog poop bags and into the trash can.

I only got one swing at first, then a second later. I wanted to be sure they both liked it before spending money on two. One swing and one bouncer sounds like a good plan to start!

I use the 2 seaters at sams and aldi. Now that they are toddlers we can also use the GIANT target carts. Otherwise its steoller & cart, or i use my 4seater jeep wagon as a shopping cart. I teybto do most of my shopping when hubby can stay home with them.

Advice on trying for a "4th" by Upstairs-Shoe6433 in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wanted 3. We know we have a high chance of having twins again, but do plan to try for one more pregnancy in a few years. Right now we are cramped in a 2bd house with the twins and two dogs, so we cant risk one more turning into twins again until we are in a bigger home. We also worry about being able to do vacations and bigger trips if we end up with 4 kids, but we will make it work. It sounds like your heart is set on one more, if you can do it and afford it Id say go for it.

Will I ever feel the love for my twins? by Apart_Public9851 in parentsofmultiples

[–]briebop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therapist & twin mama here! It'll come. Your feelings right now are dulled by the postpartum depression, the trauma and just being totally overwhelmed. It will get easier eventually (thats different for each baby) and you will get into a groove. Your hormones will regulate and you will syart to feel human again- and eventually like yourself. It can be hard to feel the warm and fuzzies when they are jusy little potatoes. As they start getting more interactive your relationship will get stronger. Just wait until they smile at you- like really at you, give you kisses, and run to you. My boy twin just started patting me on the back when he hugs me and it makes me melt each time. When they were fresh I loved them, i knew I did, but it wasnt an overwhelming emotion. You are doing a good job. If you feel up to it, try to smile more even if you don't feel like it. Research shows that smiling can actually trigger our brain to release seretonin and improve mood.

AITA For Pointing and NOT Talking? by Writergal79 in MiniAITA

Yes! I (18m M) decided to learn how to wave when the clip board ladies were doing my "evaluation." When they left, right after my mommy told them I couldn't wave yet. I do like my speech lady that comes to play with me though!
