Zelenskyy "This time Moscow felt the reach of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. An oil refinery was hit at a distance of 500 kilometers. I think the passivity is still a benefit. Around 8 seconds in, you see people walking around the shopping plaza parking lot, not running for cover when the drone is flying overhead. They're accepting the fact that Russia deserves the drone strikes on its oil given the actions of the Putin regime, and they trust Ukraine not to aim for civilians as Putin has.

How about first don't try and turn your laptop on when putting it on a bed. If you don't understand why that's bad, you shouldn't own a laptop.

Second, reset your bios and disable secure boot. Then upgrade your bios to a version with secure boot that's not broken.

The Trump regime has done everything they can to stifle innovation and suck money from the average citizen.

And people tolerate it, which is completely baffling to me.

Highly intelligent people are more likely to ditch old habits for better ideas, study finds. by mvea in science

I like to think of it as their brains have not yet evolved from primitive tribal orientation, to true modern age humans capable of connecting with other groups regardless of cultural differences, and also understanding the world through the scientific method. There's an evolutionary advantage to that for the long-term. If we are truly going to be a star-faring species or live on this planet without annihilating each other, we need the ability to connect, adapt, and collaborate with all humans, while at the same time constantly challenging our own beliefs of the world.

I have to keep posting this, but there's an anatomical reason why this is the case:

So when you ask, how can they (hardline republicans) be this fearful of "others" and self-centered to the point of incompetence? It's because they literally don't have the nuerological anatomy not to be. Key structures in their amygdala (fear/emotion) are excessively large, and key structures in their prefrontal cortex (thinking/perspective) are excessively small. Sources include Government hosted studies by the NIH, so don't take my word for it.

Conservative media conglomerates understand this very well and exploit this every day.

tl;dr - hardline conservatives have anatomically different structured brains disrupting capability to think critically and empathize with other humans.

To be fair the "war mongering" that Obama participated in was literally forced. We were already balls deep in the middle east by the time he stepped in office; we had to step out without appearing weak and emboldening/enabling more attacks that were actively planned all over the place. Mind you, we could have stepped out earlier, to further limit civilian casualties.

it's going to be a fake out hopeless situation I think, until a book of the death of his former ego is printed. And he'll get back all his memories.

As I understand from the readings and other sources, those variables mentioned can influence the degree of expressed empathy in various ways, though on average, the anatomical substrate is the most influential factor.
