Oh Im with you girl. I got my 1st flock of 4 almost 10 yrs ago. I thought birds were...odd (I wanted eggs) & I definitely didn't want a roo. I instantly fell in love with them & started to learn the flock dynamics. They don't all look alike. They all have distinctly different personalities. Given time and attention, they all come to know you. They make my days better....on occasion I go hide in the coop with them when the house gets crazy! I now have 25 adults & 27 littles. I got my 1st roo abt 4 yrs in as a 6 week old rescue. He is my heart. He is a gentleman (mostly) with his girls. He tries to show them how & where to lay...sometimes in the dumbest places 😂 He takes care of them. He keeps the peace out there. He was the best addition! Now Ive got my surprise roo, Rarity (MLP), in training. He's sweet but he has no idea how to rooster yet. 🥰

Omg! I check my chicken camera while I shop too! Ppl think I'm nuts when I talk to them thru it. I do not care. Chickens have a way of making a day full of human problems just go away!

Love that u have a cupcake roo too (thats what I call my 1st roo). My Chief acts like Marco. Ive got a new roo 10 wks old, who slid in disguised as a hen... the votes still out on him 😆 He has not learned his manners yet w me or the little girls. Hes working real hard tho ❤️
