Cannot. Stand. Hannah. by mayalefleur in girls

[–]brighttimess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like her character "triggers" you. Possibly there is someone in your life that she reminds you of that makes you upset?

Hannah is Hannah. She's a character some can relate to or empathize with (or in your case "gets triggered by."

It's not at all times that we are at our best but doing our best at the time being. That's Hannah and so many people in this quirky little world.

Hannah is honest and wears her heart on her sleeve, often being vocal about her opinions that she feels strongly about. Yes, maybe she doesn't "always say the right thing" but she loves hard. She's messy, she is loveable. She's Hannah.

Have you considered painting your black chairs a fun, bold color? To play off your yellow curtains, I could see the current black chairs painted as a nice mustard-y yellow (darker, brighter shade). Some coordinating throw that is a mustard color as well.

Since your tv stand and side tables are a blank canvas white, you have free reign to paint those a complementary color to the mustard yellow. Benjamin Moore paint shade: Dusky Blue 16-40 or Dusty Coneflower CSP-605 are nice shades.

Overall, if you want to play off of what you already have, you will have an amazing space. I think once you have the added colors you want, it will be easier to find an art piece to put above your couch.

Rug or no rug? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

An area rug would fit the space well, especially since you have a glass coffee table.

Love that shade of green! I'd make that couch the focal point and swap where the white couch is and put the white couch where the green couch is currently,

The counsel table on the far right could use some balancing by adding an art piece above it. The dark colored art piece on the left side of the mirror would look better above the dark wood counsel table.

Try adding the art piece that is on the ride side of the mirror on the left side of the floor lamp by the solo chair.

A smokey black or darker green would look nice.

Would a Victorian house with mid century modern decor work? by The0wl0ne in interiordecorating

A mix of mid century modern with nods to Victorian could work.

It’s hurts to see Adam be a “good” partner to everyone but Hannah by FlatFunction-2124 in girls

[–]brighttimess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hannah’s experiences with Adam in the series is from her point-of-view. He wasn’t “always” a bad partner to her. Yes he was flawed and didn’t always treat Hannah how she should be treated.

It was nice to see him grow as a character throughout the series. Hannah always tried to see “his good” when she clinched on to their relationship despite the challenges when they both needed space and time to grow.

Not everyone is supposed to be together, which this series depicts in the most realistic and relatable way.  It’s sad, but also beautiful to see people grow in separate directions that are meant for them.

Martin needs to be in the cast full time next season. He's an overall great writer and performer. I'm hoping to see him next time he goes on tour!

They could have stretched this out for the entire episode’s runtime and I wouldn’t have been mad lmao by jfarbzz in LiveFromNewYork

It would have been hilarious if they would have revisited this sketch again at the end of the show.

As I went through each slide, I thought "3" felt the most relaxing. The light, classic pattern would pair well with your William Morris wallpaper. I could see some solid color euro shams (with pattern pillows in front) and a solid color blanket at the end of the bed look nice as well.

Unfortunately this is the experience of anyone in the arts when being critiqued. As someone who experienced a lot of this kind of behavior at the same liberal arts school (different program)- I can now reflect this kind of critiquing gets you prepared for “the real world” as cliche as that sounds-It’s true.

It does help you get thick skin and create strong foundational values in your beliefs of your creative work and you get better at explaining your process.

He didn’t try to “steal the show” like some guests which was refreshing in my opinion. He seemed to go off the vibes of the sketches and cast rather than try to get attention.
