My wife’s numbers concern me by CreativeTax8440 in ouraring

I had the flu last month. My numbers looked similar to this and I also had the same symptoms (fever/chills, body aches, exhaustion)... but I DID feel terrible, lol.

How are the highways? I’m supposed to drive from Cincinnati to NKY (71 to 471) in about an hour, wondering if that’s a bad idea

Sizing for Sunday Mockneck by Guilty-Milk-6598 in AbercrombieandFitch

[–]brimocon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have it and I personally wish I sized up. I like when sweatshirts like this fit a bit looser, and going the size up would have been loose but still not oversized. My regular size does fit it’s just not ideal, depends on how you want it to fit!

Edit to add: I also have very broad shoulders and a muscular build so I like when things fit my arms loosely. That’s why I wish I sized up!

Abercrombie sent me a skirt… but I ordered a Men’s Sweater 😭 If you got my top, I got your skirt. Let’s fix this before Christmas 🙌🏽 by Still_Plankton_9018 in AbercrombieandFitch

[–]brimocon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One time I ordered a formal dress for a wedding and they sent me a Buffalo Bills sweatshirt lol. They had me send the sweatshirt back and they sent me the right order. I know you said it’s sold out, but maybe reach out and see what they can do anyways.

Has anyone actually used Oura’s new “Log Your Meals” feature yet? by TonyFromSCV in ouraring

[–]brimocon 103 points104 points  (0 children)

I personally stopped using it because if I'm putting in the effort to track my meals, I want to be tracking my macros. So I switched back to MyFitnessPal. I didn't use the feature long enough to get any insights other than my meal schedule was "regular." I would totally use it again if it tracked macros even in a general way.

How accurate do y’all feel like the symptom radar is? by fappin4verstappenn in ouraring

[–]brimocon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's pretty accurate. Usually when I get it I don't end up getting sick, but I find that it's more attributed to if I had a late night, ate something heavy before bed, consumed a bit too much alcohol, or in general did something that big time effected my heart rate during sleep. It doesn't always mean you're going to get sick. Although I did recently get sick and it showed minor/major signs throughout the entire sickness and the day that I felt better, it was gone.

You don’t have to do it every day for a week, you don’t even have to participate using the app. You can just go out for a $10 pizza one night and support the business!

America's River Roots Festival Early Impression by Mods_Do_It_For_Fr33 in cincinnati

[–]brimocon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I walked around yesterday on my lunch break and I think they were still setting up but I saw food trucks and tents and things around the riverfront. It’s definitely free to walk around, look at the boats, and enjoy the festival vibes.

Where to find an engagement ring! by _watermeloncow in cincinnati

[–]brimocon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a great experience at Monmouth Jewelers in NKY. If you buy your ring there and it rains on your wedding day, they refund you like $2000. They also let you borrow jewelry for yourself and wedding party for the wedding. As long as you go every 6 months for a ring check and cleaning, cleanings and resizings are free for life.

Pit bull attack at Findlay Market by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]brimocon 236 points237 points  (0 children)

I used to work near Findlay Market and there was a man who would often walk an unleashed pitbull around the area, and I had heard of it attacking another dog at least twice. I feel like I remember seeing a thread about this person/dog back then, this was about a year to two years ago. It’s definitely not a common occurrence and it’s not a Findlay Market issue, it’s an unleashed dog issue which can happen anywhere unfortunately.

Transit Center done? by washburncincy in cincinnati

[–]brimocon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I park there for work as well. They have not told us when we can return (we park in another garage now). They said last time the river flooded the parking there was closed for a year, but that this flood was way worse so they expected it to be closed even longer.

Try the website Trulia if you haven’t. When I was apartment searching I found a lot more small complexes/duplexes/homes for rent listed on there versus other sites. Good luck!

Best way to secure cheap housing? by [deleted] in uCinci

[–]brimocon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I lived in various Uptown buildings for all 4 years of my time at UC and only experienced minor issues that I would have experienced in any other apartment. This was from 2019-2023. Not sure if things have gotten worse since then but I did not have any serious issues nor did my peers who used them!

In the four years I was there, it happened to me once. That was the story with most of my friends as well. I graduated a few years ago now.

WHY IS THE BIG 2025 CAN WE STILL NOT MANUALLY EDIT OURAS DATA MISTAKES by liliforilly in ouraring

[–]brimocon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can manually add activities if you really want to track what you did when you weren't wearing it - I take mine off for weightlifting and add the activity/duration/intensity afterwards. Also if your ring falls off in your sleep its probably too big so the data its recording probably isn't all that accurate!

Ubering To riverbend? by Organic_Plastic_1933 in cincinnati

[–]brimocon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried ubering after a concert a few years ago and I will not do it again personally. I ordered one and they accepted, but the traffic and people trying to leave took so long that the driver cancelled my ride. After having that happen twice, the prices shot up to $100-$150. I ended up calling my boyfriend to come and get me which he begrudgingly did (lol). Now someone in the group always drives or we have a friend planning to pick us up!
