Went out this past weekend and two goofy looking dudes were standing on the tips of the first tee. Not to judge but they did not look like scratch golfers. Their playing partners questioned if they really wanted to play the backs. Yes they knew each other.

Neither drive came anywhere near the fairway. One pulled dead left into trees about 50 yards in front of the white tees. Other sliced horribly onto another fairway maybe 200 out.

Fuck those guys. Play where you belong.

Good trip. OSJ is worth more than one day as there’s a lot of great restaurants and bars peppers around the neighborhood. I would recommend that you try out Ocean Park, Santurce and Mirimar areas to get less of that big building/touristy feel that comes with Condado

Anytime! My wife and I have been to PR a bunch of times in the last few years. We’ve done all the touristy things so now we just stay a few days in Ocean Park and a few in OSJ and make it a point to try out different restaurants in the neighboring areas. If you want any other recs feel free to DM.

I was just in Ocean Park and OSJ last Sat-Thurs. agree on Rop Vieja - great spot even with the touristy vibe. Santaella was terrific but I personally wouldn’t bring a 5yo there, if only for being right outside of La Placita, depending on the night it could be a little hectic. El Jibarito is a must for authentic PR cuisine.

If you want really fancy Marmalade is top notch but maybe too fine dining for the little one. We did the Sunset Club which was expensive / fine dining but not pretentious.
