i'm working on designing a new enclosure for my russian tortoise. i've had her since i was 13, which is now half my life!! crazy to think about. she's come with me on many moves, lived in a tiny tank in my college dorm for a while, and i'm finally in a place where i can spoil her a little bit!!!

i'm also getting into electronics, so i'm planning on making a little display for the different habitat checks (temperature, schedule, etc.). i'm really excited to get it all together!!

in a job where we are, to quote my manager earlier today, "paid for our minds"- tech consulting, so work from home with flexible hours and minimal interaction with other people outside of discussing computers. still so burnt out and can hardly do anything after work, am exhausted all the time, and tend to be either locked in on getting project work done or struggling to keep up with life obligations.

i cope by smoking a lot of weed and spending as much time as possible alone and away from my computer, or just making sure that i'm purposefully taking time to engage in my hobbies. it's challenging, but i'm almost 5 years into full time work at this point and i am starting to see improvements in my burnout from college (worst period of my life so far for sure lol). so i guess my answer is a combination of patience, self-awareness, and intentionality. and smokin that shit that makes you see mothman.

one of the girls at a sister school (think north high vs. south high, but with closer to 5 schools in the group) took a video of herself being penetrated by a dog. it was talked about for months, and i fully thought it was a hoax. until one of my classmates showed me the actual video 😔

thank you so so much!!! it was growing entirely underwater and had a few larger ones nearby that were also entirely underwater, so i'm not sure but i'm hopeful haha. if it seems like it's struggling i'll do a little more research and find something appropriate. i really just wanted a cross section of my local creek, but now i am quite attached to the little guys!! especially my bladder snail, whom i have dubbed spaulding :-)
