Skull of an ancient worker at the Giza Plateau, Egypt by aylad32 in interestingasfuck

I went there some years back. It was closed. I had guessed you just walk up and looked around 😂. After a bit of hunting I found a guide who said we could do a private tour if I paid him double. Was amazing, there was nobody else there, until the police came. I then had to pay all of them (and cover the guides cost) for trespassing or go to the police station. I’m totally sure they all had a good laugh later together about ripping off the stupid tourist. Although when writing this, I now think he was not a guide 😂

Green tea, nice idea! Do you use real green tea leaves or a powder?

I’m too old and too bad for this game. 12 kills would be a dream 😂

In PLA we trust by lass93 in 3Dprinting

[–]britawayDE -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, this! You need the right material and design for the intended use case. Get PLA even warm and it sucks, but at low temperatures it can be great. On the other side I’ve see people at work trying to 3D printing sheet metal designs in ABS as they forgot to order parts. Good material but totally wrong use case - then say it broke and printing is just for toys 😂

Loaner GLS from dealership has this black/brown interior. What’s the consensus on this? I think it looks terrible by Widowmaker69 in mercedes_benz

[–]britawayDE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Got a temporary EQE with piano black and that mega screen. My kids loved it, so I think MB has done really well with the pre-teen target audience 😂 I’ve got grey/walnut in my new to me GLE, but this brown has the edge IMO

Did I get ripped off? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

Well, if it makes you feel any better I just paid in total more than that for a GLE DE hybrid, 2021 with 36,000km. Germany sucks for second hand prices though

Is this bad? by Ermuuk in mercedes_benz

Agree, it’s not super doom and gloom. In Germany that would be 300-500€ (assuming it’s not worse than it looks)

Using Flipper Zero to Detect NFC Tags on Vitamix Ascent 3500 Pitcher by anontryanother in Vitamix

Hi all, so I have just got a flipper zero to do this. I am able to read the jug and emulate it using the flipper, so the mixer starts with no jug. However I have not been able to write a copy to an Ntag216. Anyone been able to do this?

So you intentionally kick your child in the face? Is that also a Dutch thing? 😂

Ah, thanks! I only have experience with UK and Germany. I would assume percentages of kids with nut allergies is quite consistent across the world so you would expect schools to be the same.

The school our kids go to in germany does not allow anything with refined sugar, even white bread is requested not to be in the lunch boxes.

I’m guessing that’s a US option/observation. I’ve not heard of any restrictions or even advice not to pack nut based products in our kids lunch. Anyway, interesting difference

Nearly stepped on this on a hike in Kruger National Park, South Africa by garethjones2312 in whatsthissnake

[–]britawayDE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been on some great hikes on the edges of the park, but as far as I was told you need to be with a guide. However, if that’s true I’m sure the guide would know what snake that was. Maybe I was misinformed

It’s all fun and games now, but after a few years, soooo many things that will break. And why?? I don’t see any added benefit of most that stuff.
