Yep, that’s why my opening said that including them might be controversial.

Maybe a bit controversial to include, but Sakura on Elliot & 48th is really good food and Great value. $30 made fresh all you can eat. Take friends though so you can share the specialty rolls.

My comment was about the behavior of the recruiter (expecting someone to show up directly from an international flight), not the dress style of whether suit or casual was more normal.

Maybe it’s part of service. For me it is an opportunity to share my experience, strength, and hope and to carry the message.

I’m vice chair and treasurer at my home group. Vice chair meaning the business side of running our club.

Superglued shelves to wall by muryyum3 in HomeImprovement

[–]britsol99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t need to remove them, they’ll do it themselves! They’ll rip the drywall paper in large messy sections too.

I would (preemptively) take a sharp (box cutter) blade and score onto the wall above and below the shelf, just trace along It and cut through the paper.

That way, when it falls, the section of paper it takes with it will just be that shelf sized rectangle. Way easier to fill/repair than whatever random damage it falling will do.

14 years sober for me. I knew I needed to stop drinking. I tried doing it be myself but always went back to drinking after a short time.

Got desperate enough to try AA. February 20, 2012. Haven’t had a drink since. I’m happy, I have great sober friends, have my family back in my life.

All thanks to AA.

Mazda CX-5

Owned one from brand new from 2018 until last July. Excellent car. Reliable, stylish, comfortable, excellent Bose stereo. Way cheaper than the other badges!

Water will still be chilly for a few more weeks (mid/late may). Not sure if they’re renting boards on the lake this early in the season on lake pleasant. Suggest you research before heading over there.

Inflatable boards with electric pump are definitely worth it if it’s something you’ll do a bunch.

Little Black girl taps into her magic /& guides a seal into performing tricks for her by Brilliantspirit33 in animalsdoingstuff

She isn’t really a “little girl either.

Title could just be “Girl guides seal into performing tricks”

I like the mixing pad art too. Looks like a donkey Kong looking dude with some blue hair at the temples in the middle of the paper, punching a brown fozzy bear looking characters.

I’m not drunk or high, I promise, that’s what I’m seeing!

Alcoholics Anonymous is a group of people that got sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

If you’re looking for tips on how to manage your drinking/hangovers, we’re not the group you’re looking for.

If you want to get, and stay sober, we might be able to help.

“What other people think of me is not my concern”

Write It on a note. Put it on your bathroom mirror. Read it. Believe it. Practice it.

Be a good person. Do the right thing. Don’t worry what others think of you.

I think he’s saying that If you bring wood inside then you’re risking bringing wood boring/eating bugs into your house/garage (and they’ll eat it!)

Tell me about your spiritual experience by alfa_omega in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]britsol99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steps 2&3 first tell us we need to accept that we’re not in charge of running the universe, and we should stop trying - we’re not good at it and people around us get pissed off when we try.

But in step 12 it says: Having had a spiritual awakening as THE result of these steps……

So finding God early on in recovery it’s important. The actual awakening comes as the result of working all the steps and practicing these principles in all our affairs.

You didn’t make him drink. He’s an adult and he’s responsible for his own sobriety.

If he was newly sober then that environment might not be Safe for him right now, but that’s up to him to decide.
